Remove a Part and Gain Weight

Surgery went well, everything is being done left handed till December 2. Tomorrow i get to return to work, but I am only allowed to wear pull-over shirts, which I have never done while teaching. For the last two days I have not been allowed to exercise, not allowed to use right arm (the surgery was to remove an unidentified lump in my right elbow). So all day I TRIED to play solitaire on Facebook and I snacked on junk food and I DID gain weight in the last two days, so I am glad to be returning to work and not around food on Dec 3 I will be returning to my walking with a solid focus on losing ALL gained weight.

    Glad you're beyond the surgery and everything went well.

Changes in routine are always a dangerous time for me . . . DH retired 2 weeks ago - and I put on 2 pounds despite our daily walks.

I keep reminding myself that calories are like money in the bank and I can't afford to overspend!

Help with food identifaction

My sister misunderstood what I wanted her to make. We had rice, but the sauce was a gravy base using the grease from the steak, the steaks with green and red bell peppers, sweet snap peas and onions. Not sure what terms to use to find something similar. I do not know the amount of any of the ingredients. Any ideas?

    I use spark recipes to help me figure things out when I eaten out and don't know how to track. Look up Steak and peppers or pepper steak. Look at all the recipes and choose one with the calories in the middle. Then go to that recipes nutritional breakdown link for amounts.
You might have to guess and add a couple of ingredients like snap peas or tomatoes.
This is what I got for your dish.

I have been overly busy, but today I found an hour to walk and I am back to writing. More later when I find more time. But for now I am doing Okay

Doing well weight wise, some small loss and no gains, but I have been very busy with work and unable to get even the smallest amount of walking done because I do need sleep and before my closet friends ask, I have not been able to do what I love most and that is writing my books. I am trying to get everything caught up but medical procedures has been making it difficult. I have the last surgery within the next two weeks and then I can hopefully get my life back on track.

    Just catching up on your last few blogs . . . seems like I've missed quite a bit!
Sorry to hear about the diverticulitis . . . . I've got it too, and IBS . . . no fun at all.
It seems that tracking the foods really helps to identify the unfriendly foods.

Hope you can find a happy place amidst it all.

Another Good Day

Could have slept two more hours (needs work-tomorrow will also be less than I want)

Walked 10000 steps (goal reached)

Needed 6 more grams of fiber (tomorrow I will be getting some cereal that will help me reach my goal)

I am now off to bed
