My Race Day Experience

My race day experience in a word emoticon I really enjoyed it! So just a quick overview. I had a difficult time getting to sleep which caused me to wake up late which led to me arriving 15 minutes before race time. I was so neverous there where so many people there (it was reported at almost 300 participants). So the race started and very soon on there was a great divid, but I put my head down only to focus on my next step and with the help of some good music I got to moving and before I knew it I was looking at the finish line. It was Amazing! I thought I can do this! Definitely next time this year I will be running although at this point I think I'll be running sooner than later! I AM A RUNNER! emoticon

New Workout DVD

Thought I'd share my opinion of the Extreme Weight Loss Edition by Chris Powell Workout DVD. First the DVD is low impact and has levels 1-3 for a total workout of 70 minutes warm-up/cool down included. The level gets more challenging and are a little longer. Right off I liked the idea of knowing the stories of the cast. Of course, Chris was not only nice to look at but seemed very geniune, so that's a definite plus. As to the workout, I did levels 1 & 2. The moves, which included floor exercises were easy yet challenging and focused more on the move not the number of reps (LOVED That!). Also this is a total body workout. Modified option is available. I kinda wished he had included a demo of the moves, but I guess being loss is to be expected for the first couple of viewings. To sum it up, I look forward to his next DVD. TO BE Continued LEVEL 3?????

My First Race

OMG! Okay so on my journey to becoming a runner I thought don't wait just start where you are, so I signed up for my first race. I chose the 2 mile charity walk. I'm both excited and nervous not really knowing what to expect, but all in all I'm really glad I took this leap of faith. I'll be sure to check in after the race.

I Am a Runner!

Today while on my way to work. I saw a young lady jogging. I thought man she looks so FREE! It was then that I said I REALLY do want to become a runner. I think I'd really enjoy it, and of course it's just the activity I need to drop the weight. So now I begin my journey to becoming a runner. First, I will start with faith speaking those things that be not as though they were I Am a Runner!

2013 Goals

There are many things that I'd like to accomplish this year. However, I'll start with a few that are at the top of my list namely

*Jog one(1) mile non-stop by March 31st
*Drop 3 dress sizes not sure but I thing 6 months is more than enough for this
*Become more active on SP by posting regular blogs & participating in challenges regularly
*Get regular exercise 4-5 times per week @ least 30-45 min.

Well that's enough to get me started. I don't want to over shoot!

    It sounds like lovely, do-able goals to me! You are going to amaze yourself, this year. I only have one goal this year, to get fit. I may or may not lose weight but I am going to get myself strong and fit. =)
