Dentist and car repair today.....

Saturday, September 27, 2014

The car work will be over $1000 and who knows how much at the dentist...

Problem with gums which may have been aggravated by new night guard that does not fit right.

Jaw pain, ear pains and headaches continue virtually nonstop for about a month.

Hope to get some relief soon.

Life goes on...

Sunday, September 21, 2014

Still headachy. Hard to say cause. This past week had a migraine,1st in over a year. Jaw still hurts, sinuses are bothering to fall pollen allergies.

Seeing neurologist this week and will ask if any of these symptoms are neurologic. Walking and standing are causing severe back pain and burning of thighs. I have had this before but is worse since bad fall on back on July 19.

The fall occurred after overdoing it, when I mowed the yard. Since then I have gotten my lawn man to come back to mow every 2 weeks.

I was trying to save money by mowing myself but need to work on my deconditioning before attempting yard work. Hope to get my yard man to do the snow removal this winter.

Hope you can find some relief for these issues and start to do for yourself. Snow removal might be a stretch.

Nothing wrong with my ears or eustchian tubes, but....

Tuesday, September 09, 2014

I am having pain from severe TMJ disorder. I have never had such severe pain from this before.

I was referred for TMJ therapy and I hope to get some relief from the pain. The pain from the jaw is referred to my ears, sinuses and other places. The doctor said my degenerative arthritic neck is also related to some of the pain in my ears and generalized head pain.

One good piece of news is that I can go swimming again as I don't have ear problems.

Ate out yesterday for DH's birthday...

Monday, September 01, 2014

He is 79 now and is quite upset that he is "no good," and "older than dirt."

He behaved pretty well at the restaurant aside from spitting on the floor once.

He got the all you can eat ribs and he only could eat one serving, so the waiter gave him a second helping to take home. So I gave a generous tip for his superior service.

I wore an ear plug in my right ear so the noise in the restaurant wouldn't be too uncomfortable. My left ear also is affected with the Eustachian tube dysfunction but not nearly as bad. I have to remember both ear plugs and headphones for work tomorrow.

Today I have to clean up the living room and kitchen as they are embarrassingly cluttered. (No pictures, please.)

A name for eustachian tube dysfunction..PET

Saturday, August 30, 2014

I may have patulous Eustachian tube disorder which leaves the tubes open intermittently. One side effect is extreme discomfort with noises, including my own voice. It sounds so loud and echoes in my ears.

My choice of self treatment of this was wearing ear muffs (ear phones) at work which worked great on Wednesday and Thursday. On Friday, I forgot the headphones at home.

Today I am having fairly severe ear and jaw pain and am trying to stay home today. Was invited on an outing to the Minnesota Zoo today but couldn't go I also cancelled playing the piano at the nursing home today.

I hope getting my allergy symptoms under control helps with the ear symptoms.

I saw my internist on Tuesday. The ear symptoms came on suddenly with exercise during physical therapy on Monday afternoon. I may have to cancel the resilience training as exercise is a large part of the program.
