Down another lb today! Yeaaaaay!

237...down 13 lb since July. I am eating more protein and fewer carbs (when I don't succumb to occasional cookie).

Having my annual physical this Friday. My doctor should be happy on the weight loss.

Having a bit of a problem with glucose readings, however.

Need to cut out the cookies and replace with healthy snacks like nuts, fruit, more non-starchy veggies.

Weighed in today...good news!

I am at 238 which is great news for me. I did not weigh myself all week and am pleased with my result.

I had a 500-calorie breakfast (high protein, low fat) and checked my blood sugar shortly afterward and was shocked to see a reading of 184, the highest one I have registered since I got my glucose monitor about 6 weeks ago. I plan to measure again on an empty stomach and expect to see a reading of closer to 100.

Gotta run, the folks at the Masonic Home are waiting to hear me play the piano while they have their brunch.

I don't check my blood sugar for about two hours after I eat, it takes me that long to get back to some sort of normal

Weight is still hovering ....

Today I weighed in at 239.4. I was greatly relieved to see it hadn't gone to 240. I think I will not weight myself until next Saturday.

Adding swimming and walking to my program is definitely going to help. I can return to swim today. I managed to swim only once last week and I feel much better when I swim 3-4 times a week.

Had therapy yesterday for my jaw and did some light "weight lifting" with my neck in a special machine.

In about a week I will get delivery of my new bed and am looking forward to being able to sleep with my legs elevated. It is an adjustable bed and has a massage program. I can hardly wait.

This is the biggest present I have bought for myself in many years. My ten=year-old mattress was just not comfortable any more and I decided I deserved this. This month I am having an extra paycheck and that will help pay for this luxury. I think it will help physically and mentally so I can get better quality sleep at night.

237.9....Hope the downward trend continues. Plan to swim today.

My weight chart has been a zigzag line for years. Would like to get a slow gradual downward trend and get to a nonobese level.

I have joined the Spark Coach program and it keeps me on the computer a good half hour a day and I have gotten lots of spark points and reached a new level last month with a new "trophy."

I have certainly had problems with getting motivated to move and going to the gym. My diet is good at breakfast and lunch. I need to work on the snacking and dinnertime and things will improve. Need to motivate myself. I have plenty of reasons to want to lose weight and improve my conditioning (which is not good at present).

I do recommend Spark Coach. There are many good suggestions and links to provide education in nutrition and exercising in addition to motivation and other issues.

The car work will be over $1000 and who knows how much at the dentist...

Problem with gums which may have been aggravated by new night guard that does not fit right.

Jaw pain, ear pains and headaches continue virtually nonstop for about a month.

Hope to get some relief soon.
