Sticking With It This Time. Day 3

Have tried to lose weight many times. Tried many different weight loss programs including the atkins diet, south beach, weight watchers, curves and I even hired a personal trainer for awhile but that was way too expensive! I have also tried SP before but did not stick with it! I am planning to stick with it this time. I will be 45 on July 24th and I am so tired of being obese. I know the older you get, the harder it is to lose weight! I would like to be at a healthy weight by my 46th birthday! Right now my goal is set to lose 50 pounds but my final goal will be around 85 to 90 pounds which will be 15-110 from my weight when we first moved to GA almost 4 years ago. I had lost almost 70 pounds the first year we were here, but gained back 50 of it when I quit weight watchers because we just couldn't afford it even after I went back to work. I was working in the Pre K program at a daycare and had a very stressful year and gained most of it in the past 6 months emoticon I will be working in the public schools this school year. Yay no more khaki pants and hideous pink shirt! I really hate that shirt emoticon It really was not fair the few guys that worked there got to wear blue shirts! I have to lose some of this weight to fit back into my nice clothes because I can't buy any new clothes til after I have gotten several paychecks. We will have to get caught up on all the bills we can't pay while I am out of work!

I did really good on Monday! Tuesday was a little bit of a different story. I spent the day out shopping with friends and we went out for breakfast and lunch. My breakfast choice was ok. We went to Einsteins Bagels and I had the bagel thin bacon and cheese egg white panini. It was really good and only 300 calories. Lunch was a different story...We went to Chili's and I did not make the best choices. We ate lunch and I went to bed very early so i did not eat supper. I did not go too much over in calories but, fat grams were way off the chart! Today is another day and it will be a good day!

    Good luck on your new life. I understand where you are and where you have been. I am now trying the Spark Coach in the system. For some weird reason, it is working for me. I started with the one free week and then I just joined. It has kept me honest. I feel like I have to report in every day and it gives me a logical way to use the SP site

I have a different attitude now. In the past, I had the diet attitude. Now after, 60 days - I have a lifestyle attitude. For example, I ate just 1 peanut butter cookie the other night - not 20. It tasted great, I did not feel bad about eating it and I continue on my journey.

I am not there. I have 45+ pounds to lose but I am not in a hurry. I am learning to love myself and to be my best friend.

    I wish you well as you embark on the path to good health. It's a long path (it lasts a lifetime) and it is filled with ruts and bumps and twists and turns. As long as you stay on the path, though, and persevere - even during times of lost motivation - you will become stronger and healthier. So glad that you've reached out here on SP. You will find plenty of encouragement and support.
