Day 10 of 40/40 Challenge: No Sweat!

T.O.M finally made its appearance... Oh joy! NOT! If you thought I wasn't feeling the workout yesterday...that has nothing on today. I really really really wasn't feeling it. (I don't even feel like typing this blog. LOL)

But I just took a leisurely walk (24 min/mile pace) on the treadmill while watching some television. I didn't even bust a sweat. Honestly, I wasn't even trying to. I had my pajamas on for goodness sake! LOL. I just wanted to get the 40 minutes done. That's it.

So, Day 10 of 40/40 Challenge... DONE!

    Sometimes, it just get where we reeeally don't feel like working out. But, my hat's off to you for pushing yourself. Some exercise is better than none even if you didn't bust a sweat.

BTW, I LOVE your background. We went to the Cherry Blossom Festival a few years ago when we lived in MD! AWESOME.

Day 9 of 40/40 Challenge: I Made It Through!

I WAS NOT feeling it today....WAS NOT feeling it at all!

I know all the studies say exercising actually helps with these symptoms (and they are right, exercise DOES actually help. But getting pass the initial feelings and just STARTING the exercising is the struggle.

BUT, BUT, BUT, BUT.... I DID live up to my commitment to MYSELF!! I most certainly did!! I feel proud! PERSONAL Victory!!!

This 40/40 Challenge is really working out for me.... who knew I would take promises to MYSELF so seriously. Wow! If I can make it through these 40 days...Wow!

Day 9 of 40/40 Challenge.... DONE!!

Oh...goodness me... I almost forget to tell you all what I actually did. LOL

Well, it's a 5K Training Day..Week 2. I was supposed to walk for 3 mins. then jog for 1.5 minutes, but I screwed it up. I must have read the email wrong. I walked 3 mins and then jogged for only 1 minute. I'll have to fix that next time. But for now...

I repeat.....Day 9 of 40/40 Challenge.... DONE!...LOL

Day 8 of 40/40 Challenge: Ready for the Tready!

Since I started my 5K Training, I haven't really used the treadmill for "regular" exercising. But, today I did.

Sundays are busy and I forgot that the fam and I are going to the circus this evening. If I had remembered, I would have exercised this morning! So after church, we had to hurry and come straight home. As soon as I got here I changed my clothes and headed for the treadmill downstairs.

Knocked out my 40 mins and BAM!!...Day 8 of 40/40 Challenge.... DONE!!!

Took my bath, changed my clothes and NOW....It's off to the circus!!!

Day 7 of 40/40 Challenge: 5K Training

I have completed the first week of 5K Your Way Walk/Jog Training! WooHoo!

I have also completed the first week of my 40/40 Challenge! WooHooHooHoo!

Next week (tomorrow, exactly) I will pick back up with San Antonio SparkTeam's EPIC Challenge. I completed the first leg in February then took a break off and did not do the 2nd Leg in March. Now, it's time for the 3rd Leg. I'm SO on it!

With my own 40/40 Challenge going on, it should be pretty easy to get the 2011 calories burned each week that EPIC requires to earn one of the exercise points. This week I burned 2000! IF I were doing EPIC, I would have found a way to burn an extra 11 calories. Jumping rope for 30 secs would have taken care of that! LOL

EPIC should really help me as far as the calories are concerned. I have really been going over on my calories all week...probably 3 out of the 7 days this week! That's crazy! So, I'll really be concentrating on staying within calorie range now that I'm beginning EPIC.

So, I have a lot to look forward to for the upcoming week!!! Wishing everyone great successes!!

    Wow... You are doing great! Really! Yeah you may have had a few off days on calories, but you can reign those in. You WILL find that balance. I promise. I am so glad you will be joining us for EPIC Leg 3!! I just KNOW you are going to do awesome!

Day 6 of 40/40 Challenge: Keeping it Low Impact

I've been doing a lot of high impact activities this week so today I thought I'd keep it low impact. I think my body needed that break.

So it was a Leslie morning...did 4 of her miles in 48 minutes.

I have to go to my mom's house today and I might get on her stationary bike as well. But for now...

    Well, you know Leslie Sansone's Walk at Home miles are quick. I'm not even sure if they are real miles or not. LOL But main point is 48 minutes of exercise (aerobics) done!

    4 miles in 48 minutes?! Alright now! It takes me an hour to do 4 miles when I'm on the elliptical, and of course that time increases when I'm on the treadmill. I don't even have a clue how long it would take me just walking regular, lol. But anway, emoticon sister! emoticon
