When I got home from service I took off all my clothes and put on my caftan. This is what a caftan looks like for those who don't know...
(This picture serves a purpose, so just bear with me. I'm creating the visual...)
I'm going back to service this evening at another church where my husband will be preaching so I just went down to the basement to chill for a while before having to put my clothes back on for service.
As I was watching "Prince of Persia" on Netflix I was thinking about what I was going to do for my exercise today when I got back home from service. Then it hit me! I thought to myself, "I have time NOW!"
....With my caftan and underwear on...and barefeet; I just turned on the treadmill and went for it. I walked slowly (30 min/mile pace) but I set the tready at an incline of 5% so that I could get some kind of calorie burn during. I felt the sweat dripping from my boobs. LOL Sorry if TMI. LOL!
I'm really getting this "making the best use of my time" thing down. Why SIT and watch a movie when you can WALK and watch... or DANCE and watch... or MARCH IN PLACE and watch... or JUMP ROPE and watch!!
Now, my Day 22 of 40/40 Challenge is DONE for the day!! YAY!!
Day 21 of 40/40 Challenge..... DONE! (Thanks Leslie!)
I reached my EPIC exercise goal tonight! Whew! I'm so glad. Last week I didn't make it (even with exercising every day). But, this week, I did it. I actually burned more than the 2011 calories required for the point.
Wow! It's day 20! I am halfway through my challenge and I think I've definitely gained exactly what I set out to gain: CONSISTENCY! It feels good that I'm actually enjoying working out. I think going from exercising every day to exercising 5 days a week will be a nice break. I think my body will appreciate it... and NEED it!
BUT, I can't be thinking about that now. I've got 20 more days to go. I can't quit now. I can't lose momentum or resolve. I don't plan on it!!
I've already completed my 40 minutes of exercising today! I did the same thing I did last night: jump rope and aerobics.
I've only got 264 more calories to burn to meet my EPIC goal of burning 2011 calories this week. I'm going to do it to!...by the grace of God. I am going to take steps to ensure that this happens!
Sometimes, admittedly, my energy isn't up to it. I know when that is because my body just won't lift off the floor. But, today was NOT that kind of day. I definitely felt like it!
I also did some light (low impact) aerobics for the last 15 minutes when my knee was getting crunchy. I could hear it crunching. Darn knee keeps reminding me that I'm not in my twenties anymore! How dare it! LOL
