Day 28 of 40/40 Challenge: Prayer and Praise

Last night we had a "shut-in" at my church from 10p - 7am. For those who don't know, a shut-in is when you stay in church overnight and pray, praise and worship the Lord! It was truly AWESOME!!!

Out of the 9 hours of praise, worship and prayer, I'm POSITIVE I got in AT LEAST 40 minutes of bodily exercise. I'm POSITIVE it was most likely a lot MORE!! :-) So, I'm counting it!..

Day 28 of 40/40 Challenge... DONE!

And now.... I'm going to bed!

Days 25 and 26 of 40/40 Challenge: Coming Out of Zombieland...Finally!

I can't believe how much that 24 hours of no sleep impacted me! I was totally out of whack and my regular routines, totally out of sync. I didn't get on the computer. I didn't log any food. And I didn't workout. I was seriously like a zombie! And after I got home from working, I could only sleep for about 4 hours because I had to go to church for a rehearsal. It was just go go go...

After rehearsal, I could have worked out.... I guess. BUT, my body and MY MIND were calling for something else...

So, I used just good old fashioned WISDOM and gave my body what it REALLY needed for optimal health and that, my friends, was SLEEP...not exercise.

So, there was no exercise on Day 25.... 3rd day missed out of my 40/40 Challenge.

But, TODAY is Day 26...

It's a beautiful SPRING SPRING SPRING day!!!

So, when I got home from work I put on my workout clothes and hit the streets for a nice brisk walk. The wind was blowing ever so gently and the sun was shining spectacularly!

I could have walked until the sun went down. It was just gorgeous out. So, I walked for 55 minutes at a 16 mile/min pace (according to SparkPeople).

So, Day 26 of 40/40 Challenge was done!! And I am back to normal!! Whoowee!

    Yes, you've gotta give your body what it needs. Else, it can't give you what you need. Sleeping should be considered an exercise. I mean, we're burning a lot of calories when we're in lala land, lol.

Day 24 of 40/40 Challenge: Heads Up

I on an assignment right now from 8a - 4p which is about 1 - 1.5 hrs away from my home. (There is no lunch hour... I have to stay with the client.). I have to be at church from 6:45p - 8p to conduct a training session. Bible class is from 8p - 10p. And, I accepted another job assignment from 12am - 8am in this same location.


I think its pretty obvious that I won't be getting my 40 minutes of exercise in today. Its just NO WAY. I don't even think I'm going to bible class. I'm going to have to head home and freshen up and just lay on the bed for a few minutes before headed back up here. You guys know that, if it were possible, I would squeeze it in somewhere. But its just not possible today.


2nd day missed out of my challenge... but its okay. No problem... Nothing lost. I'm still a "working-out-consistently" WARRIOR!
