This is what I know!

Tuesday, September 11, 2012

When I consider how long I've been on this journey of losing weight--with all the ups and downs, what I know is looking back I realize doing something is better than doing nothing. And I'm not totally dissatisfied with myself as long as I'm doing something. I haven't gotten to the weight I desire but if I stop sabotaging myself that day will come too. When I look at my pics I realize while I was in the moment I didn't enjoy or appreciate it--always wanting more. I know from now on I'm going to enjoy the moment(s). When I'm exercising consistently and eating healthy (for the most part) I feel good about myself. It's when I totally stop the issues begin. I look at pics in my photo gallery and think, what the heck did you stop for, you looked and felt great and were doing the darn thing. I have to remember when I get into a slump for whatever reason, 10mins of exercise twice a day is better than doing nothing. This time around when I get to a certain weight or lose those inches and fit into those jeans, I'm going to enjoy the moment and stop pressuring myself to fit into the even smaller jeans buried somewhere in that darn closet. Enjoy the moment/journey!

I FOUND A SALT FREE SOUP (almost)

Tuesday, January 04, 2011

It's Health Valley organic no salt added soup. I prefer the mushroom barley (3g fiber). It has only 60mg. It's a little pricy but hey, we are well worth it. And, what a difference as opposed to those so called low salt soups which still have 400mg for one cup and I always eat the entire can (2 cups). Enjoy!

She is trying to live a healthier lifestlye, and cant do it with out eliminating some of that salts, that gives us problems and helps keep the weight on. Im gonna look at walmart for it, we dont have a pathmark here. Im familiar with it, bcuz im from new york tho. Have a sparktastic thursday!

Ah, east coast. We don't have those in San Diego, but I have the name of the soup brand so I'll see if I can find it here.

I pretty much go over on sodium every day.

PROGRESSO CHICKEN/WILD RICE SOUP

Wednesday, December 01, 2010

I've heard over and over to aid in losing weight replace one meal a day with a soup. So I've found one I love with a little tweaking. I'm eating the blog titled soup and adding broiled shrimp but I think the real clincher is to pour off 3/4 of the broth and add 1/2 can of water which eliminates all that drama with the sodium. It's really delicious too. I know the sodium makes it appealing but I declare these manufacturers really over do it. Whatcha think?????

I like some of the Progresso soups as well (Campbell Chunky Soups are my favorites) and I always pour off most of the liquids because the salt content is RIDICULOUS!

YUM! I love Progresso soups! Duh, rocket science, didn't think about pouring the liquid off and replacing with water to eliminate the sodium problem! Thanks for the tip! emoticon

Ya, sweet potato fries are awesome. I'm sometimes too impatient to wait for them to bake (mine bake for about 45 minutes). I'm also hooked on Honeysuckle White Hot Italian Sausage. They're only 130 calories and they're awesome on the grill.
