Well I have had a wonderful birthday. I decided to get younger a year instead of growing older a year. Our middle son and wife met us to eat at Fisherman's Wharf. We had a window seat so could watch the waves on the lake water. We watched a pair of Canadian geese swim around. We got an appetizer platter with shrimp, clam and mushrooms and then a wonderful broccoli salad. The main dish was scallops (they were huge) and boiled new potatoes. I realized how much my stomach has shrunk as I could only eat 2 scallops and 2 tiny potatoes. I also treated myself to a Bailey's Irish Creme. I also got several cards in the mail today and heard from a long time childhood friend who I had not heard from in several years. I also got an email from a friend who is a German native from Stuttgart, Germany. I had not heard from here in years either. So those were the best gifts I could have received. I did order a new printer the first of the week and then we went by Lowes and got a light fixture for my kitchen ceiling. We do not have a light there and really have needed one. Sonny will be installing it tomorrow. I can hardly wait. It seems with older age, my eyes need all the help they can get.
I hope this day is an indication of my year to come. And thanks to everyone who sent me Birthday wishes. Big big hugs.
