I'm posting the original commentment I made that is on my front Soarkpage and then the update at the bottom.
5% Challenge Commitment:
How much and how often will you exercise?
I'm already walking 10 minutes a day. I plan to up the walk time by a minute each day as my back will allowe. I am adding core and upper body exercises using hand weights. As I get stronger I plan to add yoga to the mix.
What diet will you follow?
Spark diet of charting all my calories, eating more fruit and vegetables, less sugar and lower my fat intake.
How will you support your team?
When I am placed in with team members into a team then I plan to get to know each one and try to post to one of the members blogs daily and help each to step out of their comfort zones and expand to do more each day.
Starting weight 211 (March 12, 2012)
Lose 10.6lbs by May 12, 2012
Calorie count kept between 1200-1500
Burn 730 or more per week
UPDATE ON THE CHALLENGE:. I'm very happy with my results. I have lost about an inch overall on my measurements. I've gone from only being able to do 10minutes of fitness daily to 30minutes per day. I have lost 10lbs...not quite the 10.6 but I'm very very happy with these results. I'm looking forward to a summer challenge as well as I'd like to keep this roll going...I feel so much better even though having to endure 3 weeks of allergies due to pollen and not able to get as much fitness in on those days. Over all I'm pleased. I plan to keep on going until final goal is made.
