Better Day

Well have had a better day today. I think the front that was causing me so much pain has pushed in and it has been pouring all day but I don't ache near as bad. We drove over to Hot Springs today to Sam's Club as we had to get prescription for hubby and it is cheaper there..It takes a chunk of time out of our day but at least I got some good walking in there and here at home inside today..Also have eaten better today. I got really sick last night and had to spend time in the bathroom so could of been I had a little bug yesterday..we had eaten out at my sister's on Sunday and everytime I eat out somewhere I get sick so probably part of the cause of feeling so yucky yesterday.
I just have to remember I have my good and bad days and to take them in hand and do what I can each day.

    Oh, it really does sound like you might have had a bug. And certainly that front coming through probably didn't help. But even though yesterday was rough you got some walking in today, I think that is really good, you are making the best of the situation!

Rolling stone gather's no moss

I've felt like a lump log today and have gathered moss..I just wish that moss was in my joints today to cushion them. This has been one of the worst days I've had in some time. Weather change has brought it on and having the back problems I've had this past week hasn't helped. My think every joint in my body has ached today. One thing is we pulled off the heavy comforter and put on a lighter quilt and think I just got too cold last night. I woke up freezing and haven't warmed up any today..just one of those crabby days for me...Didn't get much of a walk in so gathered more moss today.

Assignment 7

Assignment 7 for the 5% challenge is to do my body measurements.

From the last time I had done this at the end of the fall challenge I have:
Weight: gained 5lbs now 195
Measurements of body parts: I have gained almost an inch in most body parts but my thighs and upper arms and they have remained the same.

So this tells me that I need to crack down and really work at this and to quit procrastinating.

    if you want to know an easy secret to some weight loss. I have been adding twice the vegetables to my dinners. I have been eating less meat wheich is good because i was going over my serving size add a little walking only 15 mins is needed and make sure to get your sleep or you won't lose. emoticon emoticon

    I know I have gained weight and inches as well. The next challenge should be starting soon, and there is no reason we can't lose the excess again. I know I am not waiting for the challenge to start either, to get back on track.

Assignment 6 (5% challenge for winter)

List YOUR reasons/excuses on why YOUR diets and exercise plans have not been well executed in the past. give 3 or 4 reasons and for each write a strategy that will keep you on track for 8 weeks. Let's learn from our past behaviors and make this our best Challenge ever!

1Main reason or excuse is that I procrastinate. I think about going out to walk and then something else catches my eye that I'd rather do and so I wind up doing it first and then may not get to the main issue of walking and exercise.

2. One excuse on overeating one day maybe as I make some kind of goodie for hubby and then I indulge as well. With warmer weather coming soon, I've decided not to make the sweet indulgences...It won't hurt him and especially will help me in the long run.

3. I have good intentions on exercise and then (since I don't like exercise) I put it on the back burner of my mind and just refuse to do it especially if I have the least little ache and pain. I justify not doing the exercises to the fact that it will make me hurt worse. I'm going to try to start overcoming those excuses and just start planning it.

4. One thing I think good thoughts but don't put it in writing. I need to write out my daily plan each day. Thinking to write each evening a plan for the next day and write in exercise or walking as first thing to do. Once I get it done first thing in the morning then I can get on with the rest of the day and not fret over the fact that I haven't done anything for exercise..no regrets this way.

Walking

Really I'm a pretty fast walker and in fact hubby complains when we go shopping together as I can out walk him in speed but lately with my back out of whack, I've slowed way way down and just enjoying the stroll...
