It has been a very busy weekend for me because my birthday was on Friday. I don't say much about my birthday in advance, but it seems like all of my classes were made aware of the date. I got a lot of really nice cards, gifts, and even money. So it was a very nice day. On Friday evening, my oldest son and his girlfriend cooked dinner for me, and that was also nice.
So, I was very busy on Friday, and then I had a class on Saturday morning and then the race track, and more classes today, so WHEW! I am tired and way behind in everything. That's OK, as far as I know, EVERYTHING will wait for me. It always does.
I hope all of you had a nice weekend. The weather was great, although I already miss the hot days of summer. Still, it was warm and not cool enough for a jacket, so I am OK with that.
Talk to you later. Gotta get out to the grocery store, and work around the house.

WOOHOO! Tomorrow is Friday! Hope you all have a GREAT WEEKEND! The Elvis impersonator is performing in this area again this weekend, and several of my family members are going to the show. I can only go IF it rains out the races, and I do not see that any rain is predicted for tomorrow or Saturday. I have seen him twice, so I am OK with not going.
Nothing going on for me. I hope your day was GREAT!

Thank You for your continued responses to my blogs. On the topic of my vehicle. I think it is very close to reaching retirement age. It is 14 years old, and has over 220,000 miles. I have kept it so long for several reasons, but one being that it is a truck, and I have grown to love driving a truck. I know I will not be buying another truck for several reasons, and one being they cost too much. That is why I have kept getting this one fixed although it has cost me more this year in repairs than a very good down payment on a brand new vehicle. I still want to keep it because I couldn't get much as a trade in, and I don't want to sell it to anyone because it is not reliable enough to sell since it keeps breaking down.
I have mixed emotions though because I don't know about 'used' cars, and I am so gullible and na´ve that I could easily be taken advantage of. I don't know about new cars because I am so abusive of my vehicle driving it a gazillion miles each week. So that is where I am right now. PROCRASTINATING! However, that shouldn't surprise any of you.
Enough on that topic. I can't do anything about it today since it is so late already.
I hope all of you are doing well. The race track was good last night, but long. The drivers kept crashing into each other or skidding around and causing things to STOP! We never know how long we will be there. It depends on how many crashes occur. Last night there were several. No one was hurt fortunately. The crashes are cleared, they do a caution lap or two and then they get back to racing.
Busy week again, but that's normal. Take care, and keep in touch.

Another week down! Although it is the weekend, of course, I am still working, but I still look forward to each weekend.
This was a normal week without any unexpected drama. WOOHOO! I did have vehicle problems which began the week before (in the drama filled week). I ignored them that week because there was too much going on to try to work getting the truck to the shop into any of my days.
I got it there yesterday, and picked it up today. Thank goodness the fee was a little less than $200. I do not know why I continue to shell out money though on a 14 year old vehicle. I think it is because it is a truck, and I love a truck. However, now that it is fixed and nothing is broken, I think over the next couple of weeks, I am going to look into buying a new vehicle. I hate have a vehicle payment each month, but I also hate having the truck break down all of the time. My sister has allowed me to borrow her spare car during those times, but I don't want to keep worrying with truck repairs. I don't plan to buy another truck because they cost too much. It will be OK if I don't drive it the gazillion miles that I drive it each week. It can just sit in the garage and be there when I do something that I need a truck to do.
I don't know. I have said this to myself many times, but being the "Queen of Procrastination" once the truck is fixed and running good, well my usual procrastination sets in, and I don't go looking at new cars. I really need to STICK TO MY PLAN this time.
Have a GREAT WEEKEND, ALL!

My kind of day...NO DRAMA! PLUS, our weather was warmer today, and it was more like summer than winter. I am not ready for winter yet, but it seems we start getting very cool weather each year shortly after Labor Day.
I will be starting another new class tomorrow afternoon. I canceled one of the classes that began a few weeks ago due to lack of participation. The class tomorrow is one that I am taking over for an instructor who is pregnant and leaving for that reason. She says she will be gone for at least three months, so that will take me through the end of the year, as long as people are coming.
The races will run through October and a week or two into November. They usually resume in April. I guess I will be there again for the next season. Seems like this season is flying by. Of course, it seems like time in general is flying by.
Thanks to all of you who read my blogs. Your responses are very much appreciated. Take care, and keep in touch.
