On Thursday my Sister was placed with our Dad. And what a blessing. She had expressed a desire to be near the folks. When i talked to the cemetery they suggested that her ashes could be placed in the mausoleum with our father. So that is what we did - they were always so close.
Here is a picture taken when she was in High School.
I was not able to go down for the ceremony, but a dear friend Tom carried Linda. He has been a special dear friend in recent years and cared for Linda during her last days.
Linda had not told me about the cancer until October - so i really did not have very much time to process. So now it just seems surreal - and i so miss her emails. First thing in the mornings i would check for her last note from the evening before and then we would email a dozen times a day.
But I know that she is with the folks and my son, Greg, who left us last year. And soon i will be joining them - and what a day of celebration that will be!!!

"He shall be to you a restorer of life and a nourisher of your old age."
Yesterday I was talking to a friend about now being officially "old" - well, actually i have been for a couple of years now. And loving every moment that God gives me!!
I do have blood pressure that gets a bit high at times, legs that complain a lot, and eyes that have a time reading labels now. I really do think that companies are using smaller fonts now so we can't read them. But, that is ok - i have a good magnifying glass.
The above Bible verse was in my daily devotional from The Presidential Prayer Team with this quote from President Theodore Roosevelt, "Do what you can, with what you have, where you are"
So that is just what i am doing!! I may not follow the exercises precisely but i do what i can, I may not have the latest equipment but found that a couple of soup cans work great for my dumbbells (probably not as heavy as they should be, but what the hey) and I do this right where i am - here in Pendleton, Oregon!!

Had a good, active day.
This morning i cleaned off the top of the hutch in the dining area - removed the dishes and glass ware and moved the hutch out so i could clean under and behind it. Had been a while - now need to clean out the drawers.
Then this afternoon met with the knitters at the Buckin' Bean - and started a cap to donate to the Warming Center. It is open for the homeless when the temperature is below freezing.
Now am going to watch more of my current series - The Blacklist - and knit more on the cap i started.
Hope everyone is keeping warm!!
