Fell into old habits
Groceries have been light around here and I have fallen into bad habits by not eating. So back to uber vigilant tracking and eating. Hopefully this won't put me off track to my Christmas goal.... Read more
1000 minutes, here I come!
Yes, I'm exhausted. I glisten more than an oiled bodybuilder. I walked over 4 miles AND did the Leslie Sansone 3 mile walk PLUS the SP 11 minute seated cardio video. My fitness minutes are more than 250 already this month. About half of that I e... Read more
Non Scale Victory
I have a sordid weight loss journey, as I'm sure many of you do as well. In the past I could lose a few, or 20, or 30 pounds only to celebrate and gain it all back over the course of a year. And that's where I'm at today.
I am back to where... Read more
So far, so good
With the new goals set on Saturday, I've been doing well. 30-40 minutes of exercise in each day. I'm finding that I really enjoy a lot of the fitness videos on Exercise TV, which is now only available on You Tube.
I also like the SP videos,... Read more
Am I willing to do WHATEVER IT TAKES?
That's the question I asked myself earlier today. Am I willing to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to reach my weightloss goal? The short answer...no.
Now don't get me wrong, I'd like to honestly say that yes, I'm willing to do whatever it takes to lo... Read more
Negative self talk
All day I wanted to go for a walk. I don't know what stopped me (other than me) but I never went. I just crammed in a 10 minute video. I know, better than nothing.
I know what does have to change--the negative self talk. It isn't helping. I... Read more
Short walks add up
I went on four short errands today and instead of taking my car I walked for a total of almost 2 miles.
I went to the grocery store and walked home with 2 bags of groceries. Not those whimpy plastic bags either. I brought my own heavy duty ... Read more

Fat Free Bread--from scratch
Today I made soda bread and the recipe calls for butter milk. I substituted soured non-fat milk for a healthier loaf of bread. In case you don't know, to sour milk take 1 tbsp lemon juice (or vinegar) and add milk to make 1 cup and wait 5 minute... Read more
Today, I babysat my 1yo nephew and while he was napping I went 'walking' around the house, up and down the halls to get a few minutes of exercise in. It probably didn't amount to much, but it sure beat sitting on my rump the entire time.

Exercise AM or PM
I'm finding out that it is easier for me to exercise first thing in the morning. However, sometimes I'm very tuckered for the rest of the day. I tried to exercise in the PM today, but I'm finding the motivation lacking.know.
Will my body ad... Read more
Today was an Ah Ha! type of day when it comes to my relationship with food. I realized that I have a very healthy relationship with food. I don't view food as good or bad and the best thing about that is I don't have to cheat when it comes to a ... Read more
Enjoying the moment
When I sat to write this blog entry I was ready to beat myself up. I didn't exercise today (though I did get walking done) and I ate out and didn't make the smartest choice for lunch. But instead, I am going to talk about spending the day with m... Read more
Today it rained. While I know we need the rain, I was a bit disappointed that I didn't get to go for a walk. I was away most of the day so I didn't work out to an exercise video, though I did get a very short walk in to the store when I bought m... Read more

My legs are killing me
That about says it. My shins--not sure if it's because I changed my gait to compensate for sore heels, not hydrated enough or if I've plain done too much. Whatever the cause, I hope I feel better tomorrow.
The best part is that I still got ... Read more
