Event Details Below

Join us for one of the best cycling event in Central Florida and the ride of your life at the 2010 Tour de Cure Orlando event! This is an annual fundraiser for the American Diabetes Association. The ride will start and finish at Fort Christmas Historical Park! The Tour De Cure Orlando promises to be even more fun and challenging, designed for both the novice and avid cyclists. While the beautifully scenic back roads of East Orlando offer a fairly flat terrain, the famous head winds of that side of town will offer a work out challenge for the most athletic cyclists out there.

Once again there will be 4 routes to choose from: 22, 50, 70 and 100 mile rides! Whether you’re an experienced or novice cyclist, we have a ride for you! You can start your day off with bagels, fruit, juice and coffee for breakfast. Our team of volunteers will assist you with medical and mechanical needs throughout the day. Rest Stops complete with bathrooms, food, fruit, power bars, water and much more will be available every 10-12 miles.

Our early bird registration fee of $15.00 will be in effect until January 1, 2010. After that, your registration fee will be $25.00. All cyclists must raise the minimum of $150 to participate, in addition to the registration fee.

Sadly, I don't have a bicycle, but I am sending this to some friends who do ride!

Chef Meg's Baby Spinach Salad with Strawberries and Toasted Almonds
Submitted By: CHEF_MEG

Chef Meg moves strawberries from the dessert course to the salad course. Fresh and juicy during spring and summer months, strawberries are delicious when combined with tender spinach and crunchy toasted almonds. This dish was inspired by a member-submitted recipe. She reduced the amount of sweetener used and then increased the vegetables to ensure you'd get a full cup of fruit and vegetables.
TIP: Instead of slicing strawberries for the salad, quarter them. Quartered strawberries are easier to pick up with a fork! Full Recipe
