Ballona Creek Bike Path

- Submitted by HELLOJODY - 2 Comments

Resource Details Below

The consensus is that this path might be one of the nicest in town. However, some cyclists think it goes through some pretty bad neighborhoods, while others don't. But, if you can feel safe (e.g. with a group), it's a nice, pretty, breezy ride, about 8 miles from National Blvd. to the ocean, with little parks and interesting sights along the way. I have never had any problems when cycling during the day or even walk my dog along the last strech before the Marina. The path goes through the Culver City Boyz territory though....

I love riding this path. There are lots of places to join it so you can ride the whole thing, or drive/bike to it from where ever you live on the West side. I don't remember any lights along the path, so I wouldn't ride alone at night. The neighborhoods are fine during the day, so go for it!
