Scappoose Bay Kayaking

- Submitted by METALBABE - 3 Comments

Resource Details Below

My favorite paddling outfitter - these guys are right on Scappoose Bay - you could swear you were paddling at the foot of Mt. St. Helens! They rent canoes and kayaks - several different kinds, as well as selling everything you could need to get started. They also guide lovely tours and teach classes.

Scappoose Bay is for all levels of kayaking and canoing. You can paddle into the quiet waters of the bay and up some interesting creeks, or you can paddle up the Multnomah Channel and for the daring you can even paddle into the Columbia River and ride some ship swells. I am looking forward to getting back into the water.

These folks are SO NICE!! And, they have a sale of all their used equipment at the end of the rental season (late fall). That's where I got my recreational kayak and a great paddle - very affordable!
