At 1,043 acres, Oleta River State Park is the largest urban park in the state. Located on Biscayne Bay in northeast Dade County, the most prominent natural feature of the park is the Oleta River, for which the park is named. With miles of bicycle and canoe trails, a sandy swimming beach, shaded picnic pavilions and a fishing pier.

I just moved to the area recently and on my walk/jog today I passed by the park I didn't even know that this was just a couple miles down the road from me. Now I got more motivation to buy a bike and check it out.
I'm very dissapointed with the handicappped ramp at Virginia Key Beach/was there 3/15/09 and there is a 2"or so difference in the concrete where it meets the regular walkway at the S.E. end of the cponcession stand.I couldn't have managed it alone in my wheelchair and I feel it is hard on people with baby strollers etc..The manager that dy talked with me and said they could'nt fix it because the park is now "Historic".That ramp is not only inaccessible to some but also dangerous!!!Fonda/Mi

Though the trail seems huge in the map, in his real life version it is pretty little. You can ride all the courses in less than 45min-1 hour, but anyway it's still my favourite bike trail in South Florida.
I love mountain biking in this park.. a friend and I go every once in a while and we're really trying to make it more often. Has great beginner and novice courses to ride on that are quite challenging.
