Crisp - at the corner of Seventh and Pecan

Resource Details Below

This is a great salad and sandwich restaurant. You build your own, so you decide what goes into it. They give you TONS of great salad greens (of your choice, of course)and then you add what you want. The last time I went, I had a grilled chicken salad on mixed greens and romaine. I added egg, cucumber, garbanzos, carrots and cheese. I had it for lunch, and my husband and I also had it for dinner by just adding another half of a chicken breast each! It is so good and fresh!

I have driven it by it many times and wondered how their food was, but never had the time to stop and see. Now that I have see the good reviews I will make it my next lunch stop while in town.

I have eaten there several times and it is good. I drove by one day when it was raining and there was STILL a line of people with umbrellas out the door.

Thank for the tip. As I am also doing W. Watchers I would inquire about your choice in salad dressings? Gee the dressings can end up being a meal in itself. Be sure to ask for FAT FREE DRESSINGS. Did you find a dressing you recommend there? I will definitely try Crisp out.

Chef Meg's Cheesy Grilled Banana Peppers
Submitted By: CHEF_MEG

Cheese. Bacon. Tomatoes. Yum!
Chef Meg finds a slightly more sophisticated version of the hot pepper poppers found on appetizer menus everywhere. Her version uses mild banana peppers, creamy Gouda cheese, a bit of bacon for a smoky richness, and tomatoes to offer a bit of freshness. She grills them to add another layer of flavor to the dish.

Serve these as an appetizer or unexpected side dish at your next barbecue!

Chef Meg uses panko, or Japanese breadcrumbs in this recipe. You can substitute whatever breadcrumbs you have on hand. Full Recipe
