I love their healthy options, but a typical rice bowl with chicken is still really high in calories if you eat the whole thing. Good food, but watch the portions!

Hmmm -- I like Tokyo Joe's -- hadn't thought about value -- seems like a lunch doesn't cost any more than most other places. I stopped while at the mall last week; got a child's bowl of terriyaki chicken/brown rice, and felt like it was just enough to keep me going -- and much healthier than whatever I would have gotten across the mall street at Panera's.

I think Tokyo Joes is a great alternative to the calorie, fat and carb-laden Panera bread, etc. that are typically ordered in at my office. I always welcome the opportunity for a healthier alternative!

Way over priced for what you get. Not at all a good value.

I love Tokyo Joe's! I have the Boulder Bowl, all broccoli, with their wonderful iced tea - either the green tea or the Passion Fruit tea - both are great unsweetened! And it's a 25 minute walk each way (with a big hill), so it's a good workout for me at lunch.

Tojo's is way over-priced and over-rated

Mediterranean Chicken with Orzo (Chef Meg's Makeover)
Submitted By: CHEF_MEG

This healthful Mediterranean dish got a makeover from Chef Meg. She lowered the salt content and added parsley and capers for freshness and flavor. She also reduced the cooking time to keep the orzo from getting too soft and used plum tomatoes instead of canned tomatoes to keep the dish from getting too thin. Try serving this with steamed broccolini. Full Recipe
