I haven't been here for years, but the grounds are absolutely beautiful, and it's a great place for birdwatching. My brother and I used to go walk around during the peak migration times.
I try to take my dog there nightly, the hilly side has a great view from the top, alot of dog owners go up there around 6:30 pm to socialize with the dogs. I've seen people having a little picnic there also.
ALTHOUGH I DON'T LIVE TOO FAR FROM THERE, I HAVEN'T BEEN TO ARNOLD ARBORETUM IN MANY YEARS.
I used to live fairly near to this park as well. Loved walking there early morning in the spring. Very beautiful, haven't been there in ages.
I am fortunate enough to live near the park. I speed walk through the park every morning and often visit the park with camera in hand. Also attend Lilac Sunday's and other events in the park. It is just Beautiful and a wonderful way to relax and walk/run off stress!
Beautiful, huge park. Lots of space to walk..uphill, downhill, and just flat paved surfaces too. Great view of Boston at the top of highest hill!! Beautiful.
