The Dawes Arboretum has over 1,700 acres of plant collections, gardens and natural areas. A great place to take a walk and look at beautiful flowers!

I live close to Dawes too. I would love to get a walking group together there. Does anyone know of an existing group?
Dawes is a wonderful place. You don't even realize how much walking you've done becayse you're too busy looking at beauty around you.
I went there today-Easter . I went with a friend I haven't seen for a while and we walked and talked for a couple of hours. I wished I lived closer and could do that everyday!! Great place and burned lots of those calories. No chocolate easter bunny here!!
Live 10 minutes from Dawes.Love it. Gentle rolling hills with flowers, trees and animals. A nite hike every 3rd Friday evening all year long.
I don't live too far from Dawes Arboretum we go there for picnics. our grandaughter's love it there . I think it's beauitful all year long.
My favorite time to visit Dawes is in the spring, when their Japanese garden will have all of the Cherry Blossoms (sakura) in full bloom!! It feels so magical!
