Most often flat or following a gentle grade, they are suited to walking, running, cycling, mountain biking, inline skating, cross-country skiing, horseback riding, and wheelchair use. Since the 1960s, Americans have created more than 13,000 miles of rail-trails throughout the country."

the westerville part of the rail trail is great for biking walking is ok but you have to be a little more careful to move outta the way of bikers the part where it connects to columbus isnt as well cared for so there are always trees and rocks on the path there I actually had a bike wreck due to alotta tree branches and rocks so be careful and get out that helmet
