Mission Trails park is great. I live in Santee so if anyone is looking for a walking/jogging/hiki
ng/biking partner, I'm close. Let me know a couple of days in advance and we'll meet up.

If you like to hike...def check out the Oak Canyon Trail. It starts near the dam and stretches up to the North Perimeter. The trail is narrow, rather than a service road, and has a little shade compared many of the other trails. Also the trail isn't very steep at all unless you head east at the end and use the northern Perimeter Trail to loop back around on the Grasslands loop. If anyone is interested in hiking just let me know. My dog and I go hiking almost every weekend!
went to cowels mountain this morning at 0530. about a 1.5 up. took me 45min. the reward is worth it. 180 degrees few on top and the feeling of accomplishment! on a scale of 1 to 10. this is a 10.
Lake Murray is so pretty this time of year!!Making it easy to breeze around the bends and small hills to challenge you!!
Just did the visitors center loop (1.4 miles) as an introduction to the park. Loved it, especially because it is so close. When you get there, pick up a park map, on the back is 25 different hikes ranging in difficulty from easy to tough. I am definitely going again soon!
I walked/jogged there last night. We did 4.5 miles in 90 minutes pushing strollers!
