Resource Details Below

This overlooked gem in the college area near SDSU will blow you away with healthy, tasty and inexpensive eats. While the whole place is not vegetarian, every dish on the menu can be served vegan with tofu. The menu has wrap sandwiches, salads, tacos and pita sandwiches. Highlights also include "Homie Fries": a huge plate of grilled potatoes, onions and marinated tofu with an absolute amazing choice of chutney dips! The choice of chutney dips are worth the trip alone. Vegan options include: pineapple, giant peach, tropical breeze, tangerine-lemon and hot-and-spicy. The owner is very vegan-aware and assured us that meat and vegetarian food never share the same cooking surface.

I love this place! I'm bummed that their location in the College area closed but I've heard good things about the Adams Ave location. I still need to check it out. The food is awesone! The owner is really cool and most of the artwork his his. Great tofu dishes and their chutneys are to die for!

Love this place...but it closed about 3 weeks ago! They have a pizza place (Zia Gourmet PIzza) on Adams Ave though. Their pizza is just like their wraps (in fact a lot of them have the same names and ingredients) but its on a whole wheat crust. If you're missin' Zia, hit up this place.

This place is closing Dec 20 08, I went there yesterday and started texting all my friends. Get a wrap while you can, its so good. I have to start looking for Chutney recipes to make my own at home.

Wow, I pass this place almost every day and I would have never known this about it. Are their dishes low in sodium, too? Do they have a nutrition guide so I can make choices related to my health conditions?

Chef Meg's Roasted Beet Salad
Submitted By: CHEF_MEG

Beets are an underrated vegetable. They're sweet and flavorful. If you think you don't like them, try them in this recipe. Roasting brings out the beets' natural sweetness, and the feta offers a nice, salty contrast.
TIP: Buy your beets with the greens still attached--it's great way to check for freshness and the greens can be used for another recipe. Full Recipe
