Resource Details Below

This is a lovely neighborhood cafe with both indoor and outdoor seating which features delicious, imaginitive food with a local emphasis. There are many organic, vegan and vegetarian options. The menu changes every week, offering the best of seasonal offerings, including breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, dinner and wonderful desserts. Specials include 1/2 priced wine on Mondays and Tuesdays after 5 p.m. and Saturday night pizza party: after 5 p.m. $25 gets you any two pizzas with a featured bottle of wine (you choose red or white). Jazz is featured on Monday nights, 6 p.m. to close. Every night features a kid-friendly meal with a sundae and Birchwood Cafe coloring book for $6. The cafe also doubles as a display space for the work of local artists.

I've been going to the Birchwood for years and I've never been served a disappointing meal. Free wi-fi.

I agree with the description above whole-heartedly. Also, Birchwood will bake your holiday pies including maple pumpkin and more! They often have loaves of fresh baked bread for sale too. They will give little samples of their soups or salads before you order them if you ask. One criticism, I have had some soups that were spiced a little hot. Tasting the soups before ordering is a good idea if you don't like "hot."
