If anyone goes to the Northwest Y and wants a workour partner, I would love to join forces. I go pretty regularly but would love someone to work out with sometimes.
I go to the Northwest Y, while I agree that it is very overpriced, I do like the fact that I can go to work out and my kids are happily playing in the Mystery Cavern. THey love it there and that two hour break is very valuable to me. If I work out at home, the moment I am on the floor doing sit ups say, my 3 year old is on top of me.
If you have kids it is supremely worth it.

I joined the Victor Y in June. It is small, but very friendly and family -like. I have taken several yoga classes and a pilates class. The instructors have been great.
Westside YMCA on Elmgrove Rd. Great facility and helpful staff. I'm there 4-6 times a week.
I normally go to the one of Elmgrove. It is very conservative and comfortable.
I've belonged to the Y off and on for years. I love the programs for elementary age kids (especially the camps) but it is too expensive. You can build a deluxe state-of-the-art home gym for a 1/3 of the yearly family membership. That is what we did. We invested in an excellent treadmill, exercise bike, free weights, bench, and lots of workout dvds. I get a much better workout at home now.
