From the website: "From the moment you enter the facility, you are greeted by smiling faces, ready to welcome you —by name— and encourage you to leave your life outside and focus on your reasons for coming into the club. Ironworks staff is ready to offer you knowledge and motivation, to help make your workouts as energized as possible. Our staff can offer information on the use of any of the cardiovascular and circuit training equipment.
Ironworks Fitness Clubs are full service, state of the art fitness centers that were physically designed to facilitate each member with the successful achievement of his or her fitness goals. Our team of experienced exercise specialists and nutritionists provide the professional guidance to identify and achieve personal fitness goals. We work closely with our individual members, assuring adherence to objectives and understanding individual limitations.
We offer an environment that is conducive for adults in their young and middle years, both athletic and sedentary, and for mature adults who may not have exercised recently. We also have appropriate programs for people who have special health concerns and for those referred by their physicians for rehabilitation and/or exercise."
Comments From Other Members:
what are the fees for this facility?
I was a member of this club (Ironworks II - the Northern Liberties location). It's affordable and has convenient hours. The machinery is your basic gym equipment and there's a good mix of weightlifter types and people looking to drop a few lbs. Nothing fancy, but a good value. I never found it to be overcrowded.
There is another (original) location in Center City. A membership to one club allows you access to both.
Some classes (yoga, spinning, etc) but I never took any. The class room looked small and not very well-ventilated.
