I like the monon trail because I could walk after work. But here lately I have been lazie. I have making excuesses of just going home and eat and sit on the couch. Yes I am what you called a couch potato. But no more I have made an commitment to myself and SparksPeople that I will walk every day and watch my carbs. My new lood on life. Betty

I love this trail, it has very few streets to cross so you're not losing your rhythm while waiting for a light to turn. It also has markers every 1/2 mile, which is really nice.

This is such a good option for walking and biking. It's an easy trail especially for beginners like me. After having double knee replacement walking is something that I am now able to do. My stamina is still low and it allows me to take short trips and mark my improvement. There is also an new veggie stand just at 54th Street & the Monon. This has been good and it is largely Indiana fruit.

Chef Meg's Cheesy Grilled Banana Peppers
Submitted By: CHEF_MEG

Cheese. Bacon. Tomatoes. Yum!
Chef Meg finds a slightly more sophisticated version of the hot pepper poppers found on appetizer menus everywhere. Her version uses mild banana peppers, creamy Gouda cheese, a bit of bacon for a smoky richness, and tomatoes to offer a bit of freshness. She grills them to add another layer of flavor to the dish.

Serve these as an appetizer or unexpected side dish at your next barbecue!

Chef Meg uses panko, or Japanese breadcrumbs in this recipe. You can substitute whatever breadcrumbs you have on hand. Full Recipe
