You definitely have to be careful here. A glance at their nutritional information on their website is very eye opening. If you are going for low fat or even low cal, you have to make very specific choices.
I love First Watch!! I usually go to the one in Upper Arlington at Kingsdale Shopping Center. It also is often packed, especially on Sundays after church! The fruit crepes are really good, but I often get the eggs, ham and spinach on a croissant. (It comes with holandaise sauce, but I skip that). You can also skip the croissant, if you want. This is a very good "power" meal. When I used to train for power-lifting, if I ate this before my workout, I felt INVINCIBLE during my workout and had a lot of strength and energy.
Went to First Watch this morning with my Mom. It was my second time there. I enjoyed the Power Wrap and Fresh Fruit. It was so delicious and the calories will fit in my day's budget very nicely. It was very busy. If you are there during the warmer months, ask to sit in the patio - great for people watching and the sunshine.
My daughter goes to First Watch often and recently took me! We had the chicken salad. It was great. Was other things that sounded good on the menu . Will go back!
I love First Watch BUT you do have to be very careful there. They get gold stars because their own website has very good nutrition info and you definetely want to check it out before you go. Most of the sandwhiches can really break the calorie bank -and beware of hollandaise sauce. The do have a healthier options section that is good. I am partial to the Power Wrap. I go to the one in Hilliard (Mill Run) and it is often packed at lunch and don't even try a Sunday brunch!
There is also one on Morse Road near the intersection of Morse/Hamilton in front of the Kohl's there. I haven't actually eaten at First Watch yet, though I have heard many friends RAVE about it.
