If I Can Do This, You Can Do This
SUZWARNR

I've been told many times that I inspire and motivate a lot of people. I'm really moved by that. If I can help at least one person in their journey, then this has all been worth it for me. I want to tell all the people out there who need to lose weight, especially those who need to lose a lot, like I did, that it can be done. This blog is for you!!

I lost 100 pounds today. Where did they go? I don't care; I don't ever want to see them again. They're never coming back. I started this journey on January 27, 2008. I weighed 231 pounds. By July of 2009, I had lost 95 pounds. I did it through creating a healthy lifestyle for myself. I changed the way I was eating, choosing better quality foods and reducing the amount I was consuming by counting, measuring and weighing foods. The summer of 2009, I hurt myself while exercising and I lost my spark. It can happen to the best of us, I guess. I stopped exercising, tracking calories, visiting SparkPeople and gained 10 pounds. I was unmotivated. Thankfully, I found my spark again January of last year.

I took up running last spring but I was still having difficulty getting rid of those 10 pounds. I joined a gym last November because it was the right thing for me. I've been going to classes that I love and with the help of my fabulous personal trainer, I'm becoming a better runner (a hardcore runner one of my spark friends tell me), becoming stronger and consider myself to be pretty fit. I never thought that I would call myself a physically fit person, but I do believe that I have earned that title. I'm strong, not afraid to try anything and I'm so pound of myself. I have come a long way since that overweight girl, who was shy, self-conscious and so unhappy with herself.

So for all of you who are struggling out there, have heart. You can do this. I believe in you. If I can do this, so can you!
