Shockingly Proud of Myself…Thank You
MRSELLINWOOD

I want to start off thanking everyone out there: Everyone who had joined SparkPeople.com, and of course, the biggest thank you to SparkPeople.com. I started off at 220 lbs; my goal was 160 lbs before my wedding date. I followed everything they have told me to do, and I was 159 the day I got married. I kept going and I am now 140. I am so happy and feel like a whole new person. I tried so many diets and pills, it was shocking. Nothing worked. I hated all the women who said, "If I can do it,
you can, too," but now i know it's true. It really can happen. You can
start a whole new life and it's so amazing. Thank you all!

Chef Meg's Quinoa with Steamed Vegetables
Submitted By: CHEF_MEG

Chef Meg's protein-rich vegetarian recipe is simple to make and tasty to eat!

Although commonly considered a grain, quinoa (pronounced keen-wah) is actually a seed that is rich in protein. It has an interesting texture, often described as fluffy, slightly crunchy, and even creamy. Quinoa is a complete protein source, containing all nine essential amino acids, making it a great choice for vegetarians and those who don't eat a lot of meat.

NOTE: Because quinoa is a seed, it contains more fat and calories than a similar volume of rice or another grain. Full Recipe
