You Can Do it Too!

The last 5th of July, after a heart arrhythmia crisis, I set a goal to go from 113.5 Kg to 85 Kg.

This morning the scale read 85.9 Kg.... I'm touching 85's and I'm almost there! It feels good, really good! I'm slimmer than I've ever been in my adult life, but this is just the beginning. I'll start planning my new goal for this year: Slim to 77.5 kg with less than 15% body fat by the end of June.

When I started this journey, I couldn't run for more than 30 seconds, and now I run a 5K in 40 minutes. I couldn't do one pushup, and now I lift weights every single day. I had to wear size 46 wide shirts, and I now wear size 40 slim fit shirts. I had a body that looked like a pear, and now I look toned and muscular at the gym. There have been so many changes I could take all day to list them all...

For the first time in my life, my new year's goal was not to lose 70 pounds, but to gain more muscle mass.

I've now healed, but I started this with high blood pressure and heart arrhythmia. I was about to get a gastric bypass and gave myself one last chance before that. Thankfully I did. I was on medication and was told by my cardiologist I would never be able to get off that medication; I promised myself I would prove him wrong and I did.

I did this and SO CAN YOU. Everything you need is here at SparkPeople. You just have to focus on an image of a better you in your mind, and look at it every single day. Take the first step, and the next ones will follow.
