Where can you get the seeds to sprout. I've read you can't use the garden seed packets because they are treated. I live in Nashville and can't find anyone that has the seeds. Is there a mail order company?

great idea! is this also good for tiny sprouts? or do they fall through when you drain them?

Awsome idea! I remember my mom making her own sprouts in mayonase jars back in the '70's, and have given thought to trying it out myself. I do not remember what she used as lids but, hers always came out just right. I really like your lid idea. Much less complicated than the cheesecloth-rubberband method!
