I'm wondering if it is better to restart my whole account, especially as I've gained weight since then and don't feel like I "deserve" to keep my points, anniversary years, etc., or just continue on? I was sort of thinking I should change my name anyway. Sat, 19 Apr 2014 14:55:41 EST A bad day! http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.asp?imboard=1&imparent=33483027 I woke up very early this morning to accompany my Mom to the market! I had a fab breakfast, of thosai, a kind of low-fat Indian flat bread! Malaysia has mostly Chinese, Malay and Indian food (the 3 major races here), we have other kinds of food too but those 3 kinds are the most common here. I ate it with a bit of fish curry (without the fish, just the curry gravy), and dhall curry. I just dipped it, I didn't finish the curries.

Then we went home, and feeling tired, I took a nap, b... Food should be eaten slowly, savored, and enjoyed. Not to be stuffed in your face at top speed! I don't think they even taste what they are eating when they turn eating into a competition! It just can't be healthy and it's such a waste!

I don't think it can even be fun! I think it would make the competitor sick in the end!

What do you think? I also learned that I need to not use at least 500 calories from my goal in order to lose one pound a week. you have to save 3500 calories a week in order to lose one pound. I thought the calories listed 1800-2150 was what I could I use to lose but apparently it is to maintain weight. now hopefully I can start losing weight. hope this helps everyone. I gave up soda for Lent. Even though I mostly only drink diet soda, it was keeping me from drinking my fill of water. I had one misstep when I went out for lunch the Friday after Ash Wednesday and mindlessly ordered soda. I've been good since then, but man do I miss it! I'm hoping that by the time Easter rolls around I'll have kicked my soda habit for good. I'm not sure if you can have withdrawl from soda, but I'm missing it something fierce. For those of us who live where there are very defined seasons (in particular, winter - I'm in upstate NY), do you think or find that it is most of a struggle to continue once fall/winter hits? And it's during the spring/summer where you're geared up and super motivated?

It just seems that our bodies are programmed to crave comfort food on those unbearably chilly nights, and... Tue, 11 Mar 2014 19:01:31 EST can anyone really not overeat or eat healthy? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.asp?imboard=1&imparent=33239626 No matter how hard I try, I eat healthy or try too and then I eat something that I should not in a day. I try to journal but I get bored. Journaling does help though stay on track. I feel guilty and hopeless when I cheat and eat unhealthy. I realize though it's all a pattern. I get too hard on myself and I eat too much. It's like a cycle that can't be broken. Does anyone ever feel this way or am I the only one because it sure does feel like it.
