SparkPeople Getting Fit Over 50 Messageboard I'm 69 years old I'm in pretty good health, I've been trying to lose weight since Jan 4 lost a few lbs with smartpeopless I got a fitbit on Jan 26 and have been walking at least 10,000 steps a day. I did <BR> rest one day. I think I need one day a week to rest. As of this morning I have lost 14 lbs, that's in 5 weeks 3 days. Not too bad for an old woman! PiYo is supposed to be great for toning and losing inches. I haven't lost any inches and I am totally frustrated. I do feel stronger and have more energy, but that's just not enough. I was following the PiYo eating plan, but it really didn't work for me, so I went back to logging my food. I try and stay around 1300 calories a day, although I think I am supposed to be at 1500.
