Mon, 16 Jan 2017 18:02:48 EST Have you ever been afraid to work out with someone I have a friend that wants to work out with me. The doctor gave him the ok to start working out. I am afraid to commit to going with him because he is at about the fitness level I was when I started. Back then a five minute walk was about all I could do. Now 15 years later my 5k is under 20 minutes. The fact that I did not kill myself back then is pretty much a miracle as I tried to do workouts that fit people were doing. Of course after about 5 minutes I was done. I only passed out twice at ... Mon, 16 Jan 2017 08:23:55 EST Google Fit I have manually added exercise calories burned to Spark since I started using SP. My first and second session were brutal, I'm not gonna to lie.:-) I did OK for the first 2 repetitions but not so good on the rest. I know it takes time, especially when you're 50+ pounds overweight, like I am.... Wed, 7 Sep 2016 17:56:44 EST Heel slippage in my trainers due to narrow heel I'm hoping someone will know of a good brand and style of cross trainer for a wide forefoot and very narrow heel. If I get a shoe that fits me well in the forefoot, the heel is too wide and is constantly slipping out. I've been to multiple stores in my area and no one seems to be able to help me. I tried the running store hoping they could help, but they could only help with running shoes and their help was mostly how to tie the shoes to prevent slipping. That doesn't work with cross-trai... Wed, 7 Sep 2016 16:14:15 EST plantar faciates Hi there,
I have been suffering from plantar fasciitis for about 1 year now. Some days I am almost not able to stand on my feet, never mind try to exercise. I used to walk 6 kilometers a day, but I am not able to walk more than 20 mi now.
Any suggestions Wed, 7 Sep 2016 14:28:11 EST "running" question I can now slow jog for 45 mins and I have started to work at increasing my speed. I have been doing intervals of 5 minutes of faster running with three minutes of walking. I am ready to add an additional minute to the running but then I need to increase my walking interval.

The question is - should I continue with 5 minutes of running and try to decrease the walking time or should i increase the running time and then increase the walking time? Wed, 7 Sep 2016 09:29:31 EST "Simply Fit" exercise board Is anyone using this? Basically twisting but can used for other workouts. I purchased it but haven't really started a work out plan with it.
Wed, 7 Sep 2016 09:28:59 EST Am I doing this right? Hi. I'm new here and had some questions about exercise.
I recently starts walking to lose weight and I don't know if I'm doing it right. I walk back and forth on this small hill, total distance up and down is about 755ft I don't know the angle. I usually walk for about an hour, about 10x. My goal is able to walk 20x without feeling like my legs are burning and I'm out of breath. I will increase the distance after that. Unfortunately I can't post a picture to show how steep it is.
... Tue, 6 Sep 2016 20:48:02 EST Woo hop! And suggestions? Tons of thigh exercises yesterday! Sore I feel bruised! Inner, outter, and my knees.

Made a goal of 30push ups and double leg raises (x3 ; 90a day) and 15 sit ups (x3; 45 per day) even on days off.

What should I do for bicep exercises? I need to lose on waist, thighs, and biceps. (And hips but not focusing on it as goes hand in hand with waist and thighs).
No exercise equipment. Tue, 6 Sep 2016 06:24:45 EST Finding names of exercises on SparkPeople ... it's confusing!
I recently started using gym machines for the first time and was noting down on my phone what the exercises are called - going by not only what my instructor was saying but by the pictures on the machines. But I am struggling to find the same things in SparkPeople exercises. The one in particular I am confused by is on the same machine I do a lateral pulldown, but standing and facing the machine, pulling the bar down until my arms at 90 degrees, then pushing it down a... Tue, 6 Sep 2016 01:29:37 EST Adjusting Kcals I recently realised that due to marathon training and intense boxing sessions I'm burning about 2800-3000 kcals a week according to sparkpeople. I've adjusted my fitness goals but my kcal goals haven't changed at all. Is that ok? Should I not be eating more to maintain repair etc in my body even if I'm trying to lose weight? I trust Sparkpeople, but I do feel hungry, even when I try to use lean protein and loads of veggies to fill up. Mon, 5 Sep 2016 16:31:04 EST I am burning fat... Not losing weight I am doing good with what I eat, and exercising, but I seem to be just burning fat and not losing weight. Believe it or not, I am discouraged. Today I went for a 2 hour, 14 mile bike ride in addition to doing over 13,000 steps (total over 6 miles) I have been back on this health kick since the end of July and I have only lost 9 pounds, and that was in the first 2 weeks. I have cut out sugar since I am pre-diabetic, the whole reason for my health kick, and I am stumped. Any ideas? My fitbit ha... Fri, 2 Sep 2016 08:56:59 EST Share your work out routine? Hey guys I'm looking for a work out routine. I need to start exercising more but I don't have any clue where to start or what to do. I gained a lot of weight in the past year and a half so I need to over all lose weight but especially in the areas I gained it in the most which would be mostly my stomach, arms and thighs. So anything that will be good to start working on those area's would be great. 344 Thu, 1 Sep 2016 11:39:06 EST knee pain does anyone know any exercised to build up knee strength?
