If anyone has advice I would greatly appreciate it! Wed, 26 Mar 2014 22:46:23 EST Has anyone watched these? My friend showed me a video on YouTube today. It is called Dance Fitness by Jessica. Very fun, quick, and challenging. If you have a tv with internet you can watch on a big screen and dance along. I just don't know how many calories are burned. Wed, 26 Mar 2014 22:09:10 EST Not Sure How To Track So I just went on an AWESOME hike over at Snoqualmie was about a half hour straight down this massive spiralling hill down to the river, and an hour back up. Question is, how do I track that? The first half hour was basically the same strenuousness for me as walking 2 mph, but going back up, it was uphill the WHOLE way. It took an hour to get back up...but I can't seem to find an option for walking up hills in the calorie tracker. Any advice? Wed, 26 Mar 2014 22:01:55 EST I lost it! If there's anyone out there that got a Spark Tracker and is not using it, I'd be interested in buying it. I was SO bunmed when I lost mine last week.

Wed, 26 Mar 2014 20:31:50 EST Why did I gain weight after I started running? I took a LONG break from exercising over the winter, and tracking calories for that matter, but got back on the calorie tracking in January and successfully have lost about 15 lbs.

At the very beginning of March, I took up running again after that long break, and have been running 3-4 times per week at a high intensity for the last month.

My concern is that I seem to be gaining weight, even though I tracking calories AND burning off 1000+ calories per week via exercise... Wed, 26 Mar 2014 17:01:37 EST am I not eating enough calories? I am new to spark and have been enjoying the accountability so far. when I start the day my minimum calorie level is 1440-1790 calories, I usually work out enough to burn 450-900 calories a day. Bringing my total allowed calories up to 1900 to 2400 or thereabouts and I am probably eating about 1400 a day on average. It's hard to imagine that eating more calories would be helping me lose weight faster. Please give me any advice you may have. thanks. Wed, 26 Mar 2014 14:52:44 EST Planters Fascitis and walking?? Seemingly out of the blue, I was struck with planters fascitis a month ago. I can only assume it was my sneakers and repeated (new use) on a treadmill. I was completely derailed because I had no idea what was wrong.

Now that I know what the problem is and I have been doing constant stretching exercises, I'm trying to determine if I can go back to walking-outside, not on a treadmill.

Has anyone had experience with Planters Fascitis and working out? I am self employed so most days during the week, I barely have time to even sit down and rest for a few minutes, let alone work out. Fri, 7 Mar 2014 17:48:10 EST How to count calories burned For the past 3 days, I've been pulling, pushing, cutting and hauling trees and tree limbs downed by an ice-storm. And I expect I will be doing so for the next 3 - 6 weeks. Consequently, I'm not "working out" in the traditional sense, but have numerous aches and pains, and frequently have to stop to catch my breath to verify I have been working. My question is, how to account for calories burned for both weight loss and food consumption. I've been doing this about 6 hours a day. Fri, 7 Mar 2014 17:23:03 EST Is 3x a week enough? I was just wondering if 3 times a week for an hour enough to lose weight? My friend wants to exercise everyday however I don't think I have enough time to work out everyday, I'm very busy college student. If I go to the gym 3 days a week and do 30 minutes of weight training and 30 minutes of cardio would that help me lose weight or do I have to lower my calories even more(I try to eat no more than 1700 a day)? There is a Biggest Loser Run/Walk Half Marathon taking place this June and I'm thinking of joining the walk portion. I know, it's not as cool or challenging as running a half marathon, but for medical reasons I'm not supposed to run anymore and walking 13+ miles is still a big challenge to me. Has anyone ever walked a half marathon? If so, any suggestions? How did you train for it? What do you wish you would have done before hand to prepare better prepare yourself? What about during the race? Fri, 7 Mar 2014 10:29:24 EST Fitness Blender 4 Week Program for Busy People Hi, I am new to this site. Thu, 6 Mar 2014 23:34:27 EST Tracking how many miles I do This is a really stupid question, but now that I have signed up for my first 5K, I'm doing the walk/jog plan here in SP. I did day 1 of week 1, but when I enter that I did it, it's asking me how many miles I've done. Um, I have NO clue. I just got up and did it with a stop watch on my computer. My question is how can I track how many miles I've walked/jogged during that session. Is there anything online? I can't walk more than 6 minutes on a treadmill or outside without getting horrible (EXCRUCIATING) pain on the side of the side of my lower legs. I had a pretty nasty cold that began Monday night, and missed work Tuesday and Wednesday. At some point between Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday morning, the inside of my left knee started to feel as though I had injured it. I'm completely at a loss as to what's wrong with it - maybe I slept in a strange position? I haven't been to the gym in a couple of days because of my cold, and I can't think of anything I did to hurt it. All day yesterday and today, my knee has been really painful, pa... Thu, 6 Mar 2014 12:43:04 EST Strength Training Is it a good idea to do strength training each day? I think I enjoy strength training more, at least for now. Is it safe to do it every day? I'd like to get a treadmill but I just can't afford an expensive one right now. I work at Kmart and right now we have the Weslo CardioStride 3.0 manual treadmill, which is normally $150, on sale for $100. I've never used manual treadmill before so I'm just trying to find out if they're effective and worth buying. Thu, 6 Mar 2014 08:38:11 EST Calories burned at work? I work as a housekeeper at a motel. I have been able to figure out roughly how far I walk while at work but there are so many other things that I can't track. Wed, 5 Mar 2014 21:41:13 EST No Motivation Hi everyone. I've been really down about this lately and figured this would be the best place to ask! I'm 19 and a freshman in college. Freshman year hasn't been nice to me (think dining hall and hours sitting at my desk studying, not getting exercise). Recently my boyfriend and I have been trying to eat better and go to the gym, but I'm losing motivation. My motivation was to look good for my spring break trip to Florida with my parents, but now that it's only 2 weeks away and I have seen no... Today it was actually 1.2kg.

In the past some have said this is water weight. It usually goes down after a day or two, and after that I start loosing weight (slowly, but loosing). Wed, 5 Mar 2014 04:21:08 EST Okay so I have NEVER been a runner and may never be a runner but I WANT to jog at least - my problem is apparently I don't know how and it is obviously not a natural thing for me as my teens cracked up laughing at my attempt - apparently I "bounce" and on top of that within less than a minute I am in agony (hips, knees lower back, chest) - I thought it was just because I'm fat - but I see people my size and bigger run and they can do it - so why can't I? So today I did my first session of C25K - it was very hard I confess and ... Tue, 4 Mar 2014 22:08:19 EST Tips for Bodybuilding?? Hello, I am 19 years old currently at 32% body fat.
