For instance, I never use the same recipe for veggie soup, because it all depends on what I have around the house, and the size of the soup is determined by how much I have of each thing and what needs to be used up. Also I sometimes eat half a pot, then add more things to it, so that throws it off. I guess I could start measuring what I put into the pot, but that is such a pain and do... I am desperately seeking advice.
Starting at the beginning of 2014, I began gaining weight at an astronomical rate. I was gaining 5-10lb per week. Some may not believe me, but I can show you my medical records to prove it. I was eating around 300 cal/day and exercising 1-2+ hours/day. No doctor could find any answer for my weight gain, so they just passed me along from "specialist" to "specialist". In the end, I gained 80lb in 9 months.

Starting this past April, I cha... Wed, 23 Nov 2016 08:09:24 EST Keep portions-even of veggies--small http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.asp?imboard=7&imparent=40391214 Many years ago, a dietician told me not to be in the habit of having a huge bowl of anything, regardless of calorie count. So even though having a huge salad today sounds good, if I am out tomorrow and the choices are not so healthy, my body will still be able to eat a large amount without feeling overly full. I've learned a lot, particularly from my "not-so-good" choices. I've learned what Not to eat and I've learned to find a better option. I want the most "bang for my buck" calorie-wise, so I've become more particular, even with healthy choices. And I've learned to pay close attention to portion sizes. I've learned that fiber is my friend. And I've also learned that I'm consistently low in ...
