I know it's hard for some people to get in there water intake, I've been there. The reason I get in my water in for the day is because of all the meds I'm taking. Do you drink enough water? Do use a lot of your calories on drinks, like coffee drinks, energy drinks, etc. You can use a conscious effort, or have a water bottle with you at all times or around the house so you can see them, if your thirsty, drink a glass of water first... One time my balance chart looked like a cool peace sign. (sigh) I e-mailed the Spark Coach who sent me a couple of motivational links. --- I was feeling discouraged because also I hadn't lost any weight. The coach suggested I try to log my meals in advance that way I could tailor them. When I read the article about nutritional balance, I found that 50-30-20 was the center values for... Tue, 28 Oct 2014 07:25:30 EST Water Drinking Motivation http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.asp?imboard=7&imparent=34798624 I remember the days that I hated water. I would pull out a pepsi at least once a day like 3:00 every afternoon. Since I have joined Spark People I have changed my ways. I try each day to drink as much as I can. Somedays I just don't get my 8 cups in like I would like to however just striving for it helps me. If I don't make it a chore I actually drink more. Now I like water so much that it is beginning to be more of a pleasure. There is hope for tea and soda drinkers like me to actually get c... Mon, 27 Oct 2014 16:16:28 EST Are there any South Beach, phase ! people ? http://www.sparkpeople.com/myspark/messageboard.asp?imboard=7&imparent=34794740 I'm so perplexed! I'm new here, too! I've been able to keep my weight at 166-169 for five years. I'm 5'7 and my doctor wants me to be 15 pounds less. I'm pretty healthy except for a bad back. Here's what I'm thinking of doing to break the cycle---Get back on South Beach and get serious because a long time ago I lost some weight on phase 1 and 2 and then quit, so I think that's my answer. You may have something to add to the matter and I'll listen. Then, I used to do Leslie Sansone's Walk Away... One change is obviously drinking more water and that is working to replace some of the different drinks I would otherwise be having; however there are times when a hot drink is what I want. I've noticed that during the work day especially, it is easy to have several cups of coffee or hot chocolate from the coffee machine (complete with lots of calories in the sweetened milk). Tea would be one option although often the milk is off/missing/non-e...
