A couple years ago I took part in a weight loss challenge and lost over 20 lbs. I'm afraid money was the motivator and the weight loss was just a bonus. I gained a few lbs back, got pregnant with my 6th child in 6 years and gained more than ever. I start to eat last 2 or 3 days until the stress of parenthood to 6 kids 7 and under gets to me and I head to the kitchen. I eat candy and desserts late into... Sun, 26 Oct 2014 00:31:27 EST Too Much Fruit? Is there such a thing as too much fruit? I try to eat one raw meal a day (this isn't for weight loss it's just a habit that I find makes me feel better). It's easier for me to make this raw meal a fruit salad with a clementine on the side. The fruit salad consists of honeydew melon, cantaloupe, red and green grapes, and a few strawberries. My morning snack is also a banana. Is this too much fruit for one day? Sat, 25 Oct 2014 16:07:29 EST Very limited activity for two months Hi! Just got to the point where I can feel myself getting stronger because of daily work outs and healthier because of wise food choices. I'm scheduled for feet surgery in two weeks. Which means both feet elevated for 4 weeks, and very limited movement the next 4 weeks. Which means no work outs. I certainly don't want to undo any weight loss I've accomplished. I don't know how to eat when I will be doing literally nothing but bed rest. Maybe some upper body work outs with stretchy bands. Coul... I also have to limit whole wheats do to a gut sensitivity. Can anyone please help me find a way to feed my family healthy foods with so many obstacles. Fri, 24 Oct 2014 16:07:16 EST Pot Roast/ Beef Stew - Calories =/ This weekend I want to make either beef stew or a pot roast in my crockpot, I checked out the calories and wow is it high!! I might 'beef it up' (haha get it?) with lots of veggies to balance this out. What are some ways to cut down the calories? One recipe I saw one serving was over 500 calories, but that was without any veggies. I dont wanna deprive myself of a yummy pot roast because of calories Fri, 24 Oct 2014 07:14:24 EST Help! Need healthy options from a Thai menu! I know I'm having lunch at a Thai restaurant today. I can usually look up the menu and nutrition info for most of the places I go if I am eating out. This is different - this restaurant is a local place with GREAT food, but no nutrition info to review.
I usually have Panang Curry with Shrimp over white rice (usually eat 1/2 of the rice).
What can I substitute to have a great tasting, but lower calorie meal?
Should I forego the rice and just have the curry and shrimp over ve...
