Yummy! I don't want to be left out of Superbowl snacking. I have stocked up on bottled water, apples and mini rice cakes. This list has given me a whole new spin, I'm gonna have a delicious and very colorful spread come Sunday. - 1/26/2015 11:48:03 PM

  • Some really great ideas here... I love the popcorn one as it will keep you busy for a while and I always eat it with chopsticks to make them last longer. - 12/27/2013 9:03:34 PM
  • Super suggestions for the holiday season where almost every gathering involves food. I can bring several of these and eat them instead of other offerings! - 12/21/2013 7:48:45 PM

There's a typo in the description text for the air-popped popcorn: "1 cup of is low in calories." I think the word "it" is missing. - 8/8/2013 1:32:30 PM

  • If you don't want to give up your creamy dips, substitute fat-free yogurt, or fat-free Greek yogurt for the sour cream. I've been doing this for years and nobody has noticed the difference. - 2/5/2012 11:16:37 AM
  • I love hummus with fresh veggies as a snack -- though when making it at home, I always add some tahini (sesame paste)! You can find it at international stores or in the health food aisle of your regular grocery store. I also use 3 or 4 cloves of garlic and some cumin. - 2/5/2011 11:57:35 AM
  • I cant wait to try out these on Sunday. We are going to indulge , but not over indulge, Everything in moderation right? - 2/4/2011 8:21:13 PM
  • Great suggestions and I'll definitely bring along a tray of fruit but sure wish I could get the party hostess to serve something somewhat healthy! My tray will be the ONLY healthy thing there! - 2/5/2010 11:26:53 AM
  • Some great suggestions...I thought deviled eggs would be off limits, but it's nice to know that with a couple of healthy swaps in my recipe they are still do able! - 1/15/2010 5:20:50 PM

Mostly the same old same old, low cal high carb is not healthy for everyone. Most of those would do nasty things to my blood glucose numbers. I'll stick to my foods, and leave the hummus ( for example) alone.
