Great article, although I don't think it will work for my family.
Daughter? Well, forget about cleaning! It is a job getting her to do her chores. But outdoor activities... we are always playing tennis, walking, tetherball, X-Box Adventures whatever the mood brings.
Husband is rough. He used to have a job that would pay him to exercise for an hour each day... he never did. He only likes scuba diving or hiking with his friends from the fire department. The only thing he likes to do with family is watch television, although we manage to guilt him enough to get him outside occasionally. .
I really like these ideas. I don't have kids, but I have a husband who takes a little too much advantage of the fact that his weight stays the same even if he does not work out often. Maybe I will post this on the fridge in order to give him the hint ;)
I LIKE GETTING INVOLED WITH OUTDOOR SPORTS DID EVERYDAY WHEN MINE WERE YOUNG AND WITH THE GRANDCHILDREN WITH THEY WERE YOUNG..GREATS ARE STILL TOO VERY YOUNG BUT LOOK OUT AS SOON AS THE GET TWO THEY ARE READY....FOR RUNNING WITH ME ADN JUST GROOFING OFF AS I EXERCISE
I love the scavenger hunt idea - great for younger kids and they won't even realize they are exercising - a great game to play when my son's friends come over for a playdate - too often they just sit on the couch.
