  • I have been using a smaller plate for years. It started because people would look at my plate and say I wasn't eating enough and keep asking if I wanted more. Having a smaller plate put a stop to that right away. I just got tired of people saying I didn't have enough food on my plate.
    I never thought about eating with my other hand - lol, I measured out what 8 oz is and that is the glass I always use for my milk. Water I put into a large bottle and drink and refill multiple times each day :)

  • I never thought about eating with the wrong hand, although I might be like VIVSUZI, I do lots of crafts and sit all day at a computer. I have never heard of the red plates either. Strange.... - 2/6/2017 12:33:09 PM

  • These might work for some but most of these won't work for me :-D i actually started eating with my left hand years ago as a means to give my right hand a break. All the crafts I do and computer work was just making my right hand have carpul tunnel a lot. Anyway now I eat with my left hand all the time and I can tell you it doesn't make me eat less :)

    I find the only trick that really helps is to not have too much junk in the house. If the only choices are healthy foods, I'll definitely eat those way more. I have quite a bit of will power most days, but there are always some days where the treats are calling my name and having nothing in the house does help.

    Another thing that helps is to drink lots of water. If i drink a ton of water and still feel hungry then maybe I am really actually hungry. Finally, going to bed instead of having a late night snack helps too. Often I feel hungry b/c I'm up too late and I just tell myself GO TO BED! and end up not eating. - 12/28/2016 11:23:26 PM
