Buying Kumquats

Look for:
kumquats that are firm and bright orange in color.

Avoid:
kumquats that are soft or have a greenish tint.

Seasonality: Late fall, winter and early spring

Storing Kumquats

Refrigerate up to 2 weeks or at room temperature up to 3 days.

Preparing Kumquats

Rinse kumquats before eating. The skins are edible but the seeds are not, so eat them as you would a grape.
