I know the "not eating them" advice can be very difficult to follow. However, I will share this tiny victory story: we brought home several -- okay a lot -- of pieces of Easter candy this year. I put most of them in a plastic bag and that into our freezer. The other day I found the bad -- somewhat depleted, but still with quite a few pieces of candy remaining. There is hope for Halloween, too!

They most all have 11 or 14 grams of sugar in them. Really bad idea for those trying to lose the weight. Even 1 would trigger a binge for me. NO THANKS!!!

It's a good thing that October is also wood cutting time. I don't feel bad for have 2 mini Kit Kats while cutting and splitting wood for 4 hours.

It has been wonderful to be able to still have Snickers while losing weight, and to do it in a way that I never have to feel I'm "cheating." Planning my meals out the day before has been the answer for me. If I'm in the mood for some chocolate, I plan a couple fun-size Snickers into my next day's menu. Once in a while I even do a regular size bar. Then I have a while to look forward to it. I have always been a compulsive eater, but I've found that SparkPeople has turned me into a compulsive menu planner instead. I fiddle with the plan until it lines up with the 50% carb/30% fat/20% protein almost exactly. If the Snickers doesn't fit in with that, I don't have it. I don't feel deprived at all, and I never binge anymore. It's fantastic!!
