I like the suggestions, but they don't seem very "office" friendly, except the fruit and nuts, you could pack that ahead of time....

I like all the suggestions! Especially the s'mores!

A few of these will not spike your insulin - choose carefully.

And "Slideshow photos are for illustration purposes only and do not represent accurate portion sizes." So why would SparkPeople pick unrealistic photos to show us?

some good tips.....thank you...

Heres one of my favourites.......melt 4grams of pure coconut oil in a heavy bottom pan.... put in a handful of popcorn....put lid on and wait til all kernals have popped..... Place popcorn in a sealable plastic container or bag and drizzle on 1 tsp of runny honey....put lid on box and shake.....yummy and cos they take a long time to eat you feel satisfied. Also great to take to work or wherever in the box....

I've found that a fruity herbal tea does the trick for me. Most of the article's suggestions involve actually eating some type of sugar, which doesn't work for me at all makes cravings worse!

Very interesting. Trick yourself with healthy ingredients and you don't have to feel guilty afterward. I like it!

That is true stay away from sugar and the cravings will go away. I have food sensitivity and most of these won't work for me. Gluten, nuts, soy and eggs. So have to be careful I do like the greek yogurt and honey one. I use greek yogurt and my own granola mix and let it sit for awhile so the yogurt takes in the flavours when I get a sweet craving. Try water first when a craving hits they say most times it is you are thirsty. Teri

I was expecting some ways to avoid snacks / healthy snacks e.g. get up and walk around for 5 minutes, or a handful of berries or something!

I like that idea of the banana split down the mid, w/ the l/f peanutbutter & dash of cinnamon!
