I count carbs instead of calories. There are 15 grams per carb. I am allowed on my diet up to 4 carbs (60 grams) per meal and 2 (30 grams) per snack. This what the dietician put me on back in July of 2011. when I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetics. i've lost approximately 40 pounds since then. What also helps is a good brisk walk or housework. I do the housework on days I cannot walk. Sweeping, mopping, lifting, etc.

On the side of a plain yogurt carton serving size is 1/2 cup and is 17 carb grams. With a 1/2 cup of strawberries. It is a fantastic snack.

I refuse to eat "sugar-free" unless it is sweetened with stevia. Aspartame makes me dizzy and Sucralose upsets my stomach. I have given up "fake foods" completely and feel much better as a result.

Love the combination of a THIN slice of deli ham wrapped around a wedge of pear. YUM! Add a squeeze of lemon juice and a romaine leaf if you feel like really cooking!

A quarter cup of yogurt is very miniscule. The picture of the yogurt and the berries is misleading because it looks asthough the dish is full of yogurt. A quarter cup of anything is very, very small.I doubt that this would be a satisfyimg snack. you would be swallowing about two tsp. of this snack. Do you think that this would satisfy your sweet tooth? The Vanilla flavoring also adds an extra 20 calories to the yogurt. You could use no calorie vanilla flavoring to add flavor to the yogurt. Also,
why not use NO FAT Yogurt so that you could eat more Yogurt?
