Personal Pita Pizza

These mini pizzas swap out a traditional dough crust for pita bread so you get all the flavor of real pizza for half the calories. Go ahead, eat the whole thing for less than 200 calories.

Spicy Taco Pizza

Turn up the heat while you turn down the calories! The chile-studded lean beef packs 15 grams of protein into each 190-calorie slice of this taco flavored pizza recipe. If you're feeling bold, add extra chiles or your favorite type of hot peppers for an extra kick.

Gluten-Free Eggplant Pizza

Skip the wheat and sneak more low-cal veggies into your pizza night by replacing crust with sliced eggplant! Layer these clever mini pizzas with all your favorite toppings. Enjoy several "slices" for less than 120 calories.

Light Chicken Alfredo Pizza

A dash of rich, creamy sauce goes a long way in this chicken alfredo pizza (207 calories, 9 grams of fat), which is ready in minutes!

Healthier Hawaiian Pizza

You can't go wrong with the sweet and savory combination of pineapple, bacon and red onions in this healthy Hawaiian pizza, which contains just 200 calories and 6 grams of fat per serving. To lighten your slice even more, substitute in turkey bacon for the center-cut bacon.

Low-Fat Mediterranean Pizza

Our Mediterranean-style pizza is made with just seven simple ingredients. Fresh basil and sun-dried tomatoes add fiber and flavor while pureed white beans make for a rich yet low-calorie sauce. (189 calories and 4 grams of fat per serving.)

Mexican Pizza

Pizza takes on a south-of-the-border twist in this Mexican pizza with a cornmeal crust. Enjoy the creamy combination of avocado and refried beans mixed with bold flavors of cilantro, onion, and cumin for only 204 calories and 6 grams of fat per serving!

Barbecue Chicken Pizza

Vegetable Pizza Tortillas

If you love thin-crust pizza, why not make a pizza out of your favorite whole-wheat tortilla? This single-serving pizza tortilla recipe yields a perfectly crispy crust and boasts built-in portion control: 355 calories and 13 grams of fat for the whole thing! Experiment with different toppings and flavors to find your favorite combination.

Going to try this one. I love pita bread and of course everyone loves pizza.

I'd eat the whole pizza and then it wouldn't be so "healthy" anymore. Some foods are just too good.

Hey ALILDUCKLING: the Joseph Lavash flatbread or pitas net 4 carbs. Also the whole grain tortillas by OLÉ and Tamaro net 4 carbs. I used to do Atkins and wish these products had been available years ago.

We use Joseph's lavash flatbread or low carb tortillas. Fresh sliced tomatoes, basil and eithe low fat cheese or veggie cheese. These are a really good low calorie pizza fix. I usually add a little marinara sauce to mine.

These all sound wonderful. Does anyone have suggestions for reducing the sodium? I am very interested in a low sodium crust.

I eat an English muffin pizza at least once a week. Double-toasted muffin, quarter cup of sauce (I like a lot of sauce on my pizza), and half an ounce of cheese. 8 minutes in the oventilated at 350°, or 30 secondo or so in the microw Ave if the muffin is crispy enough to withstand it. Sometimes I add veggies or turkey pepperoni and it's still under 300 calories.

I'm surprised there's no link to recipes here for pizza with a broccoli or cauliflower crust! Easy to make and far less calories. There are recipes for them here at Spark.

I guess pizza is still pizza to me and none of the modern excuses for pizza look very good, I don't want tacos when I want pizza or Alfredo chicken when I want pizza, or eggplant or any of the substitutes. Our family has made homemade pizza since I was a little girl, rarely did it have pepperoni or fat laden meats on it, usually precooked lean hamburger and lots of veggies, the calories are not too bad for an occasional treat if you are stingy with the cheese.

Edited by alilduckling ---- I am working on making low carb pizza for my Atkins hubby and making lower fat for myself. One thing we ended up trying for me and my adult daughter was individual flatbread pizzas. Also, reducing sodium is a big concern in our home and I would have to work with most of the suggested ideas a lot.

I can't wait to try some of these! I see 5 that I love already!
I'm looking forward to changing up the crust options, instead of always using the roll out type from the refrigerated biscuit section. While tasty, same old same old can get boring.
