I used to male soup with this 13 bean mix and sone other ingredients but I am not sure it was all that good for me.

Why on earth would pumpkin soup need any kind of marmelade? I think pumpkin soup tastes better without any sweetener.

The title was "comfort foods" and Carbs are what most of us think of as comforting. Really, we need them, in moderation. They are not the enemy!!!

Most recipes look yummy! Just joined a few days ago, can't believe all the negative comments here, if you need to follow a particular diet ie low carb, low fat, vegetarian etc. there are thousands of cookbooks out there and recipes on the web. SP is just offering up suggestions. :)

Come on, spark. Your so called "healthy" recipes are always loaded with carbs. They are relatively low calorie because kcal/g of carb is way less than for fat, but low fat doesn't automatically make something healthy or diet friendly.

How about some innovative, tasty, high protein ideas?

It appears the pumpkin custard slide show picture features a light egg custard "Flan?" but when clicking through to the actual recipe the image shows the darker, denser pumpkin.

to Dametemplar - I find eating meat disgusting and barbarous so I am happy they did not include multiples of those recipes. I am sure there are tons of places one can find recipes including meat.

I find it really depressing when I read one of these and only two would I even consider making. All the beans and pasta look and taste so revolting that I start to feel dieting is beyond me: other than going with a low carb, high protein diet. But you don't offer that. Is there no way you can help those of us who find vegetables (and to a large extent, fruit) hard on the stomach and so difficult to swallow because of their disgusting tastes?
