This is most definitely a beginner yoga video--just perhaps not recommended for people with pre-existing back problems, and also not recommended for people to do until they are in pain! Great video that allows the exerciser to practice at their own pace and abilities. Just listen to your body and use a bit of common sense!
I thought it was an ok workout, none of the poses were over the top and alternatives were given. However it was decidedly right-side focused. More 3-legged dogs and hip openers on the right that were not repeated on the left. Very unbalanced.
The video is OK, but didn't seem much like yoga. It incorporated yoga positions, but any genuine yoga routine focuses on breathing, body position and internal awareness, impossible with Bethany's distracting and unyogalike commentary.
@CRAMPENELLA obese people can do these exercises as well - you never have to overstrech yourself in yoga - you do what you can and with practice your body will learn the movements and they become easier and easier to do :)
I just did this video for the first time, and I thought it was great! I like the cardio they tossed in with the yoga. My only qualm is that I wish they filmed it mirror image. I much prefer workout instructors that mirror the group when talking about lifting or moving the right or left side.
