Kick start your metabolism with a short morning workout

Break through a plateau by kick starting your metabolism in the morning with a short workout. After a frustrating plateau, I started riding the stationary bike in the morning for 15 mins, in addition to my regular workouts. Within days my weight started going down again. Plus, a 100 kcal workout every morning adds up to an extra full days workout by the end of the week.

Reduce your sodium intake

Track and reduce your sodium to 1500. Add an extra cup or two of water. Try this for a week. Too much sodium in your diet could be making you retain.

Patience

Plateaus can feel like getting "stuck" but it may be your body is just resetting itself. Keep doing what you know you need to do and be patient. In time, you will move forward again, better than ever!

crave busters

No bread and no beef after lunch...this also cuts down on my cravings. Be aware of body's signals to keep it simple. When it's supper time stir fry veggies. emoticon

water

Drink your water don't sip on it all day and THINK you are getting in enough. Also you may need to get in more than 64 oz a day to lose. I have to drink 120oz or more in a day to lose. It gets easy with time. I use to gag on it but now I don't mind so much.
Your body needs the water to flush out the fat cells and to function right. Did you know that you breath out over a cup of water a day.

How I broke my Plateau

I had been losing and gaining the same 2 lbs. for a couple of months.
I bought the Spark Solution book and started the program and I lost 3 lbs. the first 4 days and have kept it off.
I hope to lose another 2 lbs. this week.
I'd recommend trying this program to jump start your weight loss again!
Ask anyone who is trying the program and I'm sure they will tell you the same thing. emoticon emoticon emoticon

Start a New Program!

When I hit my plateau, I signed up for the SparkPeople 5K running program. It involved 3 days per week of working up to jogging a 5K. It was a great program and I was incredibly excited to get to the end result! SparkPeople has a bunch of programs to try, so pick one and stick with it emoticon

Check your Calories, Weightloss & Fitness Goal Settings

I was setting 2 month weight loss goals, but everytime as I neared the goal, the system aimed me toward maintenance and weightloss stopped. Once I changed over to my long term weight loss goal, that stopped. So be sure your settings are correct, because the system definitely works to maintain once you reach your goal!!
