Keeping your house, your car, your wardrobe, your schedule, etc. organized and decluttered can help your mind and soul feel less overwhelmed. When I walk into my house and everything is where it should be I have no excuses not to put in some exercise time or make a heathly meal.

Rather than renting a U-Haul and toting the college dorm home, rent a storage building near the school. Several students can share one unit to save money. No need bringing home winter clothes, futons, fridges, printers. Use uniform storage crates for easier stacking and dryer sheets to control odor.
Write down a list of your favorite motivational quotes. Hang them on your bathroom mirror and every morning when you get up, read through them as you get ready for your day. Before long you will find yourself repeating them throughout your day from memory.
When I am down, to change my outlook, I sometimes challenge myself to a week of daily affirmations. I try to give myself genuine compliments for a week... sometimes it takes more than a week, but I eventually start seeing things in a positive light.

I work to get myself together before time in order not to rush. I fix lunch the night before, even setting out the utensils and cups that I'll be using so that I don't have to spend time looking for anything at the last minute.
Getting in a little extra - while heating up my lunch at work, I'll do leg abductions or adductions; when brushing my teeth, same thing. Also, I sit at a desk, so butt crunches, stand and do push ups off my desk, anything to keep the blood flowing and get that little extra in.
I needed a new windshield pump so I called around got prices then called the Auto Parts store and bought the pump myself. I saved 20.00 on the part alone from the quotes I had been given. Kept calling around and found someone to install it for 25.00. Total Saved on Parts and Labor 38.00!
