Hang dry your laundry

Drying your laundry on a line--indoors or out--is economical and eco-friendly. Dryers command a lot of energy and electricity, but they also wear out your clothes faster than hang drying. No more shrunken T-shirts either!

Combine Cardio and Strength in one session

I combine the cardio with strength throughout the workout. I wear a weighted vest while doing my LS DVD's In addition, I use dumb bells for a portion of the workout & also have a booster system, which allows me to use resistance tubing for upper and lower body resistance.

Stay in calorie range.

Put a dollar in a jar for every day that you stay within your calorie range. Then use the money to buy new clothes or sports equipment that will help you to further your journey. emoticon emoticon

Easy Eating

A quick and easy way to stay on track, I have found that the Healthy Choice Steamer items are the best and most balanced thing out there when it comes to a microwave meal. They do the portioning for you so you can't go wrong.

Weigh every thing you eat

Buy a small kitchen scale and weigh every thing you eat. You will be surprised at how small a 1 ounce piece of cheese is! But it will get you used to correct portion sizes.

Consistency

Building up a good solid exercise base is key. You can lose weight with a diet, but getting your body moving is the biggest secret of all! And the more you move, the more weight you'll lose, the better you'll feel and the more sure of your success you will be!

Plenty of Fruits and Veggies Prepared and Ready to Eat

To help me get my at least 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day I try to keep my refrigerator stocked. When I buy fruits or veggies that need to be prepared (clean, cut, peeled) I do it before I put them in the fridge so when I open the fridge they are ready to go.

Plan and enter your meals into the nutrition tracker a few days in advance.

Not only can you clearly see your plan and stick to it, you don't have to try to remember what you ate and/or go running to the tracker after every meal.
