When I don't feel like working out, I tell myself to workout for 5 minutes. I can do anything for 5 minutes, and I can certainly carve 5 minutes out of my day! If, after those 5 minutes, I don't want to continue, I stop. But, usually, once I get moving, I stay moving!
Use those weekends or your days off to get some long workouts in. During the week, schedules get hectic and you may lose valuable time to get some good exercise in. People tend to eat more on the weekends, as well. You won't have to feel guilty.
It is no secret to just keeping your chin up (with a smile) and the blues down. Remember no one likes to hear down, down, down stuff, even you. So always think of the brighter side of every thing. Even if it is troubling you. There is some one else in this world that has it alot worse then you or me...
I make my own greek yogurt by purchasing whatever skim milk yogurt without gelatin is on sale. I use the basket type coffee filters and a strainer to drain it 3 or 4 hours.
I make a "work out playlist" on my iPod so it can just play straight through a list of favorite songs and I don't have to stop mid workout to change songs. I make a different playlist every 2-3 weeks to not get bored of them.
I find that if you stay away from negative people while trying to lose weight, you're results will be better. Especially if you are an emotional eater.
Until I can truly identify what a cup looks like or how much 2 Tablespoons is I measure everything if possible.
I power walk as my major form of exercise. I have found that updating my mp3 player once per week keeps it interesting. You can reward yourself by putting more of the upbeat songs on it that give you motivation!!
When it is really tough, decide not to eat for 10 minutes. Set the timer. If there isn't anything you have to do, do something fun -- Spark, computer game, sudoku, whatever -- to pass the time. Reward yourself when you make it ten minutes (polish nails?) and set the timer for 20. Eat at next meal.
Kick boxing burns more calories than walking dvds. about 5X more! For the same amount of time working out. So if you can handle 30mins of exercise... it'd be worth it to do the kick boxing like taebo or sparks kickboxing. Doing this just 1x a day for a week equals enough calories burned to =1lb of ...
