SP has gotten me through a lot. It has taught me to be healthy. I went through Breast Cancer and the support of all my SP team helped. When I went in I was 135. Due to my treatment I ended up gaining lb back. Now I have Thyroid problems. This is why I have to stay healthy to recover again & lose lb.
I use white board erasable markers to write inspiring quotes on my mirror in my bathroom and bedroom. Reading them while looking in the mirror helps me to stay focused and positive when I start to doubt myself!
The challenges posted give your workout variety AND motivate you, either through competition or just because you know you need to report in. For me, just writing the challenge down and knowing I don't want to leave the rest of the page blank motivates me--so I write down challenges every day!
My husband and I have recently paid off every credit card we had; after working on this task for nearly two years! It just aggravated me to no end to see all that interest that we did pay and would have paid had we continued to keep them alive and acitve!
When I'm cooking I chew on a piece of sugar free gum. This keeps me from "tasting" as I'm cooking, as I'm usually pretty hungry. I would estimate two 5 calorie pieces of gum (dinner and lunch) save me 50-100 calories a day!
To help me get up and go to the gym in the morning, I set my alarm and place it all the way across the room. I also leave my exercise clothes beside my bed. When my alarm goes off I have to get up to shut it off so since I am already up I just get ready and go right to the gym :)
I think Variety is the key! Mix things up and get a variety of wholesome foods and a variety of exercise. this way you always get good nutrition foods and you dont get bored of exercise. Also dont be afaid to try new things...
