Go to bed hungry

In the past I ate for many reasons - not just because I was hungry. I find that "counting calories" reminds me that when I get that hunger pain at 10 PM I should just go to sleep instead of pouring myself a bowl of cold cereal. I'm learning to appreciate the feeling of hunger.

Families Getting Back To Eating Together

I just saw Blind Side. The best part in the movie I think is where they set down as a family and eat together. We would be closer to each other if we got back to doing that.

Coming out of my shell

I am a very quiet and private person so it takes me a while to get motivated to speak up, but reading about other people and I then realize we are all alike in one way or another; we all have our temptations, fears, etc. I am now going to try to open up and ask for your help and encouragement .

Use a pedometer!

I purchased a rather inexpensive one at Walmart. I was surprised how many calories I burned by the end of the day. Moreover, I WANTED to walk more because the proof was in the numbers! So, ya get more motivated. I even walked during breaks at work.

recumbent biking and posture

When I am on my recumbent bike, I work hard at pressing my shoulders back as I am pedaling to work on improving my posture. It feels really great!

Keeping me exercising

The way I keep myself exercising every night is I download a audio book onto my mp3 player and listen to the story. I get so involved in the story that I want to exercise and forget how long I have been exercising. In order to find out what happens next in the book I have to go and exercise.
