Water vs. Coffee

Drinking water or coffee.
My trick for not eating much is that first cup of coffee in the morning. It satisfies me and I am not hungry. When I am at work I drink most of my 8-8oz. glasses of water and then some. That fools my brain to, makes it think I am not hungry.

I'll have it tomorrow

When there is something that I want to eat that is high in calories (potato chips, pizza, ice cream, candy), I tell myself that if I still want it tomorrow I will have it then. This especially works with those "surprise" cravings or impulse eating.

Mock Apple Pie

When I crave a warm dessert, I cut up an apple sprinkle a little cinnamon and stevia on it and microwave it until the apples soften. The smell of the apples and cinnamon are great and I feel like I am having apple pie - without the calories!

Popcorn to the rescue

Stress eating is one of my problems. I have discovered that if I have some air popped popcorn with just a little popcorn seasoning it lets me chew and crunch but does not add a lot of calories. And fiber is very good for me!

Refuse the will-sucking couch

I'm tired when I get home and all I want to do is sit on my will-sucking, comfy couch. Once I do, I lose motivation to do anything else. I now challenge myself that when I get home, I can't sit on that couch until I've done some sort of exercising! It's made a huge difference!

Keep a glass of water next to the bed. I've found that when I wake up I'm often very thirsty..so by keeping the glass of water by the bed its in quick reach and if I wake up in the middle of the night I'm not having to fumble around in the kitchen

Water

I keep a glass of water by my bed at all times. I often wake up and I feel very thristy, so by keeping the glass by my bed its in quick reach....it also helps for waking up in the middle of the night I'm not fumbling around in the kicthen for a glass of water.
