Increase your protein!

When I slip up, it's because I've been gradually adding more carbs back into my diet, which lead to more (bad) carb cravings. I start feeling out of control. When I increase my protein again, suddenly it doesn't take nearly as much effort to stay on track.

Add Cauliflower to your fruit smoothie

I have to eat special vegetables for my blood and I really get tired of them. So, I dropped a couple of flowers of Cauliflowers in my fruit smoothies. You cannot even taste it. So I get more veggies with my fruit.

Don't give up!

The key to staying healthy is never giving up. You have to ride the roller coaster of your healthy life through the ups and downs but never get off the ride!! Track your nutrition and exercise especially when you're struggling.

Fresh Start To Exercise

Some new flashy workout clothes puts me back in the mood to get to the gym for workout classes (or machines). Likewise, some new tunes for my MP3 makes me want to get out on the road for my jogs! A new route for my bike ride breaks up the boredom. Keep changing things up and make it fun!

Packing fruit and Veggies to go

Every week on my days off I get fresh fruit and veggies, wash them, cut them up and put them in baggies in the fridge. That way I can just grab them and go.

Allow yourself some latitude

Ease into exercise. It wasn't until week three that I started cardio. I will move into strength training when I feel ready. It is too overwhelming to take on strength training right now.
Also, I get up and the first thing I do is exercise so it is behind me for the day.
