Have fun and burn amazing amounts of calories by learning a new sport - Hockey! I usually burn between 700-1100 calories during a 60-75 minute session. I don't even realize it because I'm having so much fun! Check your local ice rink for an adult learn-to-play session.
I dress my salad by using a 1 gal. Zip Lock bag. I put in the greens and add 1-2 tsp. olive oil 1st. I shake the bag for 15 sec. or so and coat all the leaves with the oil. Then I can add the kind of vinegar I like. Crumbled cheese, nuts, etc. sparingly on top! Uses so little & tastes so good!
I have started using a saucer to use as my portion control apparatus. When I fill the saucer up that is it! I eat no more for at least 2 hours! ! I try to eat 6 small meals a day. This has helped with the shrinking of my stomach!
I noticed when journalling my food, that when I am making my daughter's after school snack I was eating extra calories. Now I have fruit before I pick her up or chew sugarless gum as I make her snack! It REALLY keeps me out of her food!
One great way to get more active each day is being purposefully inefficient. Carry your groceries in one bag at a time. Seek out the rest room farthest away from where you are, go to the mail box yourself instead of asking your kids....You'll be surprised how your activity level will increase!
