Do squats or planks! I started out hating planks, but they make me feel so much stronger if I do them consistently. I like to do both while watching tv and squats are great when you're doing something idle with your hands while standing (cough, dishes, cough)...
For many years I took cigarette breaks to relieve stress at the office. I have been smoke free for one year 1/23/15. This alone relieved the stress of always wanting nicotine. I traded the cigarette break for a puzzle break. I have a jig saw puzzle that I can work on for a few minutes when I need to relax and not think for a minute or so.
I know that by doing these same few exercises each day I am preventing myself from falling!
When I have a craving that comes at a time when I shouldn't eat, I brush my teeth. I think it's just a fact that no one wants to turn around and eat after brushing teeth, and it's great for your teeth. You can still brush your teeth if you're at work or out somewhere. And it doesn't have to be very involved, just a quick brush does the trick.
