I don't have any big secret of getting my exercise however I can only share what works for me. I like to keep going and not sit around. I ride my exercise bike once in awhile however I love walking, walking, walking. It does something for my spirits and invigorates me. I am open to other exercise and see if it stimulates more cardio. Maybe checking out a gym or exercise program.
Started exercising in the morning, then trying to exercise again in the afternoon after work. Two a days really get me to feeling that I'm making progress, plus I feel energized to get more work done in the evening. Helps me get to sleep a couple hours later too.
I have found if l eat Purposefully, nourishing my body, chewing, not inhaling my food, that l am satisfied physically and mentally.
I like to get caught up on recorded TV shows, but they absorb so much time. When no one is home, I play them, and "STEP" around the living room in large circles with my pedometer in my pocket. It's easy to get 10,000+ steps in per day this way.
I keep moving throughout the day. Work requires that I stand and when I don't have guests I use the time to do Qi Gong exercises:moving my hands, wrists, fingers, stretching wrists to avoid carpel tunnel, shifting weight from one foot to the other, doing small stretches. I move discreetly stretching calves and getting up on my tiptoes. With live bands in our workplace it's not uncommon to see the employees moving to the music.I keep moving every part of my body that I can.
I love playing table tennis (ping pong) so I joined a table tennis club and I play 2 times per week.
I'm always impatient waiting for the coffee to brew, so I started doing strength training while I wait! Usually 2 sets of 10-12 reps, of dumbbell curls, lunges while holding dumbbells, or any of the demos on SP, until the coffee is ready. Great way to start the mornig:)
I have oatmeal for breakfast. I add a Tbl of raisins, 2 dried apple rings and cinnamon. After cooking I add 12 chopped almonds and sweeten with an artificial sugar (only 1 a day). Then I add a splash of milk. It keeps me satisfied most of the morning and tastes great!
