While I am preparing my breakfast, lunch and dinner, I drink 2 cups of water. The water helps to keep me from over eating because it fills me up and it adds to my over all health during the day. After my daily workout I drink 2 cups of water to replace what I have lost and this brings my total up to 8 cups already. If I work out twice there is 10 cups of water and then in the evening when I am relaxing, I will have another 2 cups. How easy is that to get your H2o into your daily recommendations
I setup a schedule for working out on my work computer. In Outlook I schedule when I am going to work out and set it on weekly repeat. I set reminders 20 minutes before I have to leave so I make it to the class/gym on time. Definitely helps when I'm focused on something.
No need for fancy equipment or a gym membership. Just get outside and start walking (or jogging) laps around your neighborhood or even up and down your driveway. Track your laps on "Map my Walk" and it will calculate your speed and distance. Those laps = miles in no time at all!
When I get on my scale daily or weekly , I want to have the right mental attitude ! I have never liked the scale , I have not thrown it across the room yet ! I hate stepping on it ! I remember being 60 to 70 lbs. heavier and I was not lifting weights either. I was FAT ONLY ! The scale gives me a BAD ATTITUDE !
I love the fizzy feel of soda pop, but didn't like the calories and nasty ingredients. I was also trying to lower my sodium. I switched to seltzer water, which I can flavor with real fruit juice like lemon and lime. This has saved me money, improved my health, and I even like the taste of it quite a bit more!
I like to keep moving. I put some running music on my computer and keep going! If I'm sitting, I'm doing chair exercises, but I don't sit for long and will end up marching in place to the beat of the music! It must be working as I'm down over 30 pounds since July 20th!
My fun exercises are: ballroom dancing, zumba, walking, following you tube videos from Jessica Smith TV, Leslie Sansone and yoga with Adrienne, going to the gym and joining in on yoga class once a week and working out with a trainer at the gym for 30 minutes once a week.
